fifty nine - launch party

"good morning beautiful."
turning onto my side, my eyes meet colson's.

they sparkle in the sunlight that shines through the window.

"good morning baby."
i reply smiling at him as he tucks my hair behind my ear.

"it's your big day."
he plants a soft kiss on my lips.

"i'm excited. but nervous. i've never had a launch party before."

"you'll do amazing baby, and i'll be right by your side all night."

his reassurance eases my mind, and sit up ready to start the day.

i walk down stairs to make a cup of coffee before my glam team comes to get me ready for tonight.

"mandi! do you know where my dress is?"
casie's voice shouts from upstairs.

grabbing my coffee, i walk up to her room, to help her.

"hey hun. it should be in your closet."
i tell her as i walk into her room.

"i looked but it isn't there."

she has an upset look on her face, and i scrunch up my nose.

"maybe daddy moved it into my closet. wanna check with me?"
replying i hold out my hand for her to take it.

nodding she places her hand in mine, and we walk into my bedroom.

colson is still laying in bed, scrolling on his phone.

"dad did you move my dress for tonight?"
she asks her father.

"yeah baby it's in mandi's closet. i didn't want it to get ruined."

smiling, she walks into my closet, returning with the dress in her hands.

"beautiful! now go shower then you can get changed in a little bit."
telling her i hold her dress.

"okay, tell me when your makeup people get here. i wanna watch them when they do your makeup."

"okay case."
i chuckle lightly as she goes to her room.

"you're so good with her, i fucking love that."
colson's raspy morning voice speaks.

"you know i love that girl like she's my own bubba."
i set my coffee down and lay with him.

"imagine little mandi's and colson's running around. i cant wait for that."
he kisses me softly.

"you're the biggest softy. but neither can i."
i run my hand through his messy hair.

he pulls me close to him, and wraps his arms around my waist.

our heads rest against each other's as we stay silent for a moment.

"i want to be with you for the rest of my life amanda."

butterflies shoot through my stomach. it feel like the first time he told me he loved me.

"so do i colson. forever."

he presses his lips against mine, and i wrap my arm around his neck.

his kisses are like nothing i've ever felt before.

they're sweet but passionate and the perfect amount of sensual.

we pull apart and stare into each other's eyes for a moment, then we're broken from our thoughts.

"hey love birds, there's some 'glam?' people here?"
rook's voice echoes from the door way.

i sit up quickly, and collect myself then go downstairs to get ready.
