Lucas
I carefully opened the door to the outside and I peeked out to see the people and the surroundings around me, checking and making sure that Song Yuqi is not here. I really don't want to meet her at a moment that I don't expect her to meet at, I am not ready to meet her yet.
Especially after we have broken up and it wasn't a good time to break up with each other, the ending wasn't nice either and our feelings weren't mutual. It has been almost 7 years since I have graduated from high school and the two of us have gone on our separate ways, we probably had dated other people during that whole time as well but I am still sure that things between the two of us are not resolved yet.
Thus, I don't want to meet her and react very awkward to her, she probably won't want me to do that as well. And I want to avoid her as much as possible at this wedding, the lesser that I see her, it would be better for the two of us.
A hand pushed me and I was outside the room, I looked back and Kim Jungwoo gave me a cheeky smile. "Relax, it is not like she is going to appear in your face the moment you get out here. You do know that this place is really huge and could accommodate a lot of people, there is little chance that you two will meet each other."
I rolled my eyes. "Who said that I was afraid of that? I was just seeing who was outside and I might be able to see our friends."
"That's bullshit, I know exactly what you are doing. But rest assured, if there is anything that I know about Song YuQi, she has moved on from the relationship and it has been almost 7 years since the two of you have broken up with each other."
I know, I have moved on as well... "I just hope so, I wouldn't want her to start crying over me as soon as she sees me."
We walked to the wedding hall where the rest of the guests are gathered at, they are definitely facing that I have seen before, some of them are my classmates from high school and some from University because I went to the same university as Jungwoo and we are in the same circle of friends. "Lucas!" A fellow classmate by the name Mark Lee walked up to me and we fist-bumped. "It has been so long since we have met each other, where did you even do after high school?"
I shrugged my shoulders. "Nothing much, I went to the same university and studied fitness science. I am working as a fitness instructor at the gym near my apartment right now, it is a well-paying job and it is kind of my thing now. My career might change but I love the life that I am leading now."
"Then what about your love life? Any women who charmed you in the past 7 years?" My smile faltered at the sudden change of topic, I seriously don't know how to react to that yet. "What is wrong with your reaction? I am sure that you have dated some amazing women during those 7 years." He nudged me.
"Of course, I have. The amount of women that I have dated is more than my own fingers and toes, I still have the reputation of being the ladies' men." I am totally telling a lie to him, I might have gone on a date with that many women but I have dated lesser women than that. I have to say that to me in order for him not to tease me about not having a girlfriend after my last serious relationship.
"Wow, that is expected of you to do that, you are after all the handsome guy in my clique who dated the prettiest girl in our class. Did you know that she is here at the wedding? I met her earlier and she has become even prettier than before, she looked so mature and you do know how pretty people in their mid-20s look like."
"Right." I laughed awkwardly. "That doesn't matter to me at all." It does matter to me, this just means that I am going to lose in this 7-year challenge because she is looking even better than before.
He then looked around and then back at me. "Then did you bring a plus one with you? I didn't see anyone with you at all."
"This wedding is so late minute, I didn't have the time to bring anyone at all, all of them happened to be busy with something and they couldn't make time to be my plus one at this wedding." I heard Jungwoo fake coughed. "I am for real, Kim Jungwoo. You don't have to cough so much."
"Are you alright?" Mark asked. "It is bad for you to fall sick at your own wedding, it is a bad omen and you should drink more water."
"I am totally fine, it just happens when people are bull shitting about things that they don't do at all. You do know that I am allergic to Bullshit but it doesn't mean that Lucas is bullshitting, he is not lying at all."
"Hey, guys!" I heard that familiar voice that I have last heard 7 years ago and it is now back in my life, I turned around and she was a few meters away from me, dressed in a simple lilac off-shoulder dress and it showed off her beautiful sculptured shoulders. "How have you guys been? What was the last time that we have ever seen each other?"
Instantly, everyone was focusing on her and everyone forgot that they are talking to me and they are completely ignoring me, even Kim Jungwoo who is the male lead at this wedding is talking to her. "Long time no sees, it has really been so much since high school. All of you looked so different from 7 years ago, and you make me blush but in a good way, no wonder you guys are still called the handsome boys in our school."
During that entire time, I kept quiet and nothing can come from my mouth at all. It is not that I hated her and I didn't want to talk to her, she is just too beautiful and I was charmed by her once again. How can she look even more beautiful than before?
