YuQi

"Will you help me get that bottle of water from your side?" My best friend and bride-to-be Soojin asked, her hands stretched out and I grabbed the bottle of water that she wanted to get and I passed it to her. "Thanks, everything has been inaccessible because of this huge puffy dress that I got on for this wedding."

"Then why did you choose such a puffy dress for your wedding? You do know how inconvenient they are even though they look extremely pretty."

She groaned. "I regretted that moment that I purchased that dress and I was thinking for almost a week and I decided to not return the dress because it is just so pretty." She looked at me. "Do you still think that I should return the dress?"

I shook my head. "If it makes you feel pretty, then it shouldn't be a problem and it is probably too late to return the dress now, it is your wedding today and you are going to get married to your loved one in less than 2 hours."

She slowly nodded. "You are right, Yuqi. If I can't return the dress and I have already bought the dress, then I should just accept it with all of my heart. I only know that Jungwoo likes it a lot, he literally had hearts in his eyes when he first saw me in this dress."

I nodded and smiled at her face when she talks about the man that she is going to get married to, it is an unexpected pairing but it did work out well. Kim Jungwoo and Seo Soojin are two people that I have made friends back in high school but the thing about the two of them is that they have never spoken to each other, even during birthday parties and whatnot, I have never seen them ever interacting with each other and they are always on the opposite sides of the room.

They like different types of people as well, and plus Jungwoo had a girlfriend throughout the entire 3 years of high school, Soojin was very introverted that she couldn't even look at any guy in the eye without feeling the need to apologize. This makes them the chance of ever falling in love with each other is close to zero, it is nearly impossible and I will never see them ever get married together and have kids together.

But it is totally possible after being here today, I was literally shocked when I invited that wedding invitation a week ago, I totally didn't expect that wedding invitation to be in my letterbox until I opened it. And now I am at their wedding, I am one of her bridesmaids along with our other friends. We can't jump to conclusions without considering that the impossible things can become possible, the world is an unpredictable place after all, literally, anything could happen and we don't have a say in how we can control it.

"How could 7 years change a lot for all of us?" I asked her as she finished drinking her bottle of water and settled herself down on the couch adjusting herself so that she will feel comfortable under that puffy dress. "You were single for such a long time and suddenly you are getting married, how did you and Jungwoo even meet? I know that you guys have met each other since high school, but I really want to know how the love even began."

"I knew that he was there from the very start and I liked him but he is out of reach and he is way too bubbly for me, even when he is with his friends, he stood out the most." I nodded at her, trying to make her comfortable while she was speaking. "And when we graduated, I was sad because I thought that I will never get to see him again but when we got posted to the same company, I was over the moon."

"But he was in a different department, right? That still separates the two of you for the past 7 years, while working in the same company but in different departments." I pointed it out."

"I got transferred to his department last year and the supervisor placed him in charge of me, and we finally spoke to each other after 6 years but he didn't really like me yet. It was only until I got injured heavily at work because of him and he took care of me as he is taking the blame for the accident. Before I knew it, he confessed to me 2 weeks after that and we started dating very seriously towards the mindset of marriage, he proposed to me 3 months ago and I agreed to marry him almost immediately. And there you have it, my love story of Mr and Mrs Kim."

I blinked at her elaborate explanation as I still couldn't believe that there is still a purely romantic relationship like theirs and I am still not married, she is getting married just a year of dating her classmate and I am still here, in a long term relationship with my boyfriend of 3 years. But I am happy for the two of them, I really hope that they can last long with their pure and long-lasting love for the rest of their lives.

"I'm happy for you, Soojin, for marrying your first love," I said to her and she blushed heavily, it was as if her bridal makeup is not enough to make her face look red.

"Thank you, Yuqi. I was actually very surprised that you flew all the way here from China just for my wedding, you will fly back to China after this right?" She asked me as my job is based in China since my graduation.

I shook my head. "I am on my vacation now after a long year of not taking any leave, I am also planning to stay in Korea for a while and I may not be returning back to China for the rest of the year," I told her about my decision.

"That is great! We will go shopping together all the time now that you are back here, South Korea has a lot of fun things to do than 7 years ago." She grinned and I took a sip of my water. "And right, do you know that he is here at this wedding as well?"

"Who?" I took another sip of my water as I am feeling really thirsty after all the yelling and talking.

"Lucas Hwang, your first love. He is with Jungwoo now." I spit out all of my water in shock and it landed on her beautiful wedding dress.
