Lily ran the whole way to the Gryffindor common rooms and ran all the way up the stairs until she was alone in the head girls' room. She never spent anytime in here, she preferred the regular girl's dormitories so she could see Alice and Mary but right now, she wanted to be alone.
The Head girls' room was huge, a large four poster bed occupied the main living space, but also a huge wardrobe and a large desk that held ink of every colour. Warm wooden boards lined the floor and made lily feel at home, her fluffy socks hung on the heater and she put them on instinctively. Throwing herself on the double bed she felt suddenly better, but it didn't stop the tears from coming. Lily never cried, at least not in front of people, she always thought it was a private thing to cry and she didn't need to involve anyone else to help with that. Lily sobbed into her pillow until she couldn't cry anymore. She forced herself to get up and take a hot shower.
When she was done, she rested on the bed in a large Gryffindor robe and finally relaxed feeling much better, as she always did after a big cry. She didn't really know what caused her to cry other than the confusion that James was causing her. but it had eaten up inside her, enough to make her sick.
'why do I find myself drawn to him, he's a bully, with a big head, and arrogant, and he doesn't really like me, he only thinks he does.' She thought to herself, which only lead to more confusion. 'why can't he just change.'
Lily collapsed onto her bed and stared up at the ceiling until she decided that maybe a nap would help, despite it being 3 in the afternoon.

Sirius, Peter and Remus thought that it would be a waste of time to go and find James as they could only imagine the over dramatic complaining that would be happening, so instead they got some ice cream from the kitchens and went to sit by their tree. Remus was just licking the last of his chocolate ice cream and enjoying the sun shining down, warming his skin when a horrible smell of coal and nicotine invaded his lungs. Turing to where the putrid smell was coming from, he found Peter hunched on the ground coughing and Sirius standing also coughing but he was trying to play it off like it wasn't bothering him.
"what are you two idiots thinking, smoking is not cool" he stated, lazily knowing they would pay him not attention at all, or even care that he didn't approve of the filthy habit.
"well Moony, those girls' years over there," he pointed to a group of girls who couldn't be older than 14, "are checking us ough, ough" and suddenly Sirius was coughing again but let subtly this time.
"well Sirius I think that would be the karma" Remus shared, as he smugly smiled.
"oh, don't give me that crocodile smile Moony, you didn't make me cough, and anyway, we definitely look cool, I saw in a muggle magazine that all the grooviest people do this, henceforth I am cool" Sirius had a huge smile on his face since he believe he had won an argument again Remus, but Remus clearly heard him telling Peter how smart he was, after using the word 'henceforth'
"guys look!" Remus yelled while pointing at what looked like James.
"ooh what is it! James?" Sirius shouted confused
Peter turned to look also, dropping his barely smoked cigarette, "what is he doing, and who is he with!?"
James was walking with what seemed to be a girl, with long blonde hair and Ravenclaw robes. They walked together until she motioned for them to sit down under the shade of a tree where they proceed to make out, all while the marauders secretly watched, not three trees away.
"what the hell!" said Remus in surprise
"heck yeah, go Prongs!" called Sirius
"what about Lily?" peter piped up, since none of them have noticed.
Hit like a brick wall with this news, Sirius was suddenly furious, although him and Lily still have their arguments, they get along like two peas. Sirius and Lily are often found in the Gryffindor common room lazily lounging around, Sirius napping or talking about himself while Lily braids his hair, so this sudden realisation from Peter did not make Sirius proud in the slightest. "I have a plan"
And this time, Remus didn't stop him.
