Chapter Two: To The Palace

Makenzie awoke early in the morning to ready herself for the day to come. Rushing to go meet the driver of her carriage she was met with Lola and Jin.
    "Lola!" She spoke waving, Lola down.
                        ...
Makenzie rode with Taehyung as they cuddled and talked about future plans while Jin talked to Lola. Soon Taehyung had fallen asleep and so had Makenzie.
"I can't believe you Jin" Lola spoke, breaking the silence.
"Lola, how about this I will talk to my father when we get there."
    Lola grinned and nodded in satisfaction. She grabbed her book to read.
                            ...
    The carriage came to a halt. "Well we must be here," Jin says as he glances out the window.
The carriage door opens and masked men drag him out, "Hey!" Lola yelled as she ran toward Jin.
Makenzie was dragging Taehyung off to safety.
"Take the gold and kill the living!" One of the men yelled out.
While Lola speared two men at once and killed the men who was holding Jin captive; freeing him to grab his sword.
After the last man was killed, Taehyung and Makenzie entered their carriage behind Jin and the others. Looking out the window, Lola saw many dead bodies over the road. She gagged at the sight.
The journey continued...

    By the time night came, Makenzie had fallen asleep again, on Taehyung's shoulder. A tear shed from her eye and Taehyung wiped it away, "Makenzie, One day I will ask you to be mine. I won't ever let anyone hurt you." He kissed her forehead.
"Your highness we have arrived!" The driver said from outside the carriage.
    Taehyung carefully picked up Makenzie, bridal style, and carried her out of the carriage.
"May I ask why you knocked her out?" Jin said as he exited his carriage. Taehyung rolled his eyes.
"Haha, very funny, Jin. She just fell asleep, anyways, I'm taking her to my room," Taehyung said.
Jins smile faltered, "Don't let father, the princes, or anyone see her in your room, she's still considered a bastard to the kingdom."
Taehyung boiled with anger but kept it inside, for he didn't need Makenzie waking up. He knew what he was going to do; on the night of the ball he will ask her to be his bride.
     Jin nodded as Taehyung started to walk up the stairs. Probably already planning the wedding in his head.
    "Poor Taehyung, he doesn't even know what's about to happen to her." Lola says as she grabbed her bags off the back of the carriage, rushing inside. Jin quickly and quietly went to the library where his father always was.
"Father, I have arrived from the village," Jin spoke loud enough to where his father could hear him.
"My boy! Come here tell me of your journey!" The King spoke as he closed his book and stood from his desk.
The King was a bookworm, he could tell you about every book in this entire library. His light hair, shone in the darkness, his green robe sagged to the floor as he walked towards Jin.
    "Father, If I may ask, Why is Makenzie going to Prince Jungkook? She just got here?"
    "Don't think I don't know about how close they have gotten over these few months. Makenzie is a sweet girl but he needs to marry someone with a title, not a bastard" The King spoke as his eyes went towards the window.
    "But Father, Taehyung needs to marry for love, not for the title. He is the youngest aftera-." However Jin never finished his sentence
"No! He will not marry Makenzie! I forbid it! If this was all you needed to talk to me about, then you can leave," His father said the last part with cool rage. Jin still stood his ground "NOW," his father spat.  With that Jin stormed out of the library.
    However no one saw the shadow figure in the doorway.
