Chapter 3: Murder

     Makenzie woke up in the arms of Taehyung, smiling to herself she kisses Taehyung on the nose. "Morning, my princess." The grip around her tightened a little as she saw Taehyung open his eyes.
    "My lord, you know I am nothing of the sort." Makenzie whispered as she hid her flustered face in his chest. Taehyung chuckled.
    "Prince Taehyung!" Lola rushed into the room but quickly covered her eyes. "I'm so sorry!"
    Makenzie jumped out of bed and so did Taehyung, "It's fine Lola, we were just talking. Anyways what is the problem."
"There has been a murder!"
"Who?!" Taehyung ordered.
"Your father and a young girl."
Taehyung rushed out of the room. Makenzie looked to Lola and spoke, "Where were they found?"
"The king was found in his room and the girl was found in your room. It was a maid named Yiren."
As if her body was frozen, a chill ran down her back. They, the murderer, was going to kill her. Both had walked into the throne room and all the princes and kings were sitting at a table.
"Lola, what is the time of the two killed" Jin spoke up from the end of the table.
"Your highness, the king was killed in his bedroom around two hours ago and the girl was around midnight."
"Do they have any connection?"
"Not that I know of."
"Place of death?"
"The king was found in his chambers. The girl was in miss Kayla's room"
Jin raised an eyebrow, "In Makenzie's room?"
Lola froze, "Y-Yes, Your Highness"
One of the men in mint green hair spoke up, "Where was Makenzie when the girl was murdered."
"Sh-She..." Lola started.
"She was helping me study." Taehyung spoke up, his husky voice masked the truth.
The man with mint hair spoke again, "Seokjin, what is wrong with her?"
Jin stood up, "King Yoongi, Lola has been busy all week and has barely gotten any sleep, I will not have you accuse any of my guards!"
    Taehyung spoke, "Why was the girl in Makenzie's room?"
    "She was a maid from the Etherion kingdom, her name was Yiren and I think she meant to drop something off from Prince Jungkook. Am I right, Prince Jungkook?"
    Jungkook nodded.
    "We will look into this further, however, the ball will still go on and I hope to see all of you there. This meeting is over." Jin stood up and walked out of the room as did most people.
The only people still there was Makenzie and Taehyung, "Are you with Jungkook?" Taehyung said without making eye contact.
    "No, what makes you think that?" Makenzie said before Taehyung grabbed her shoulders.
"Jungkook's maid went to your room last night! Don't you think it was a coincidence he had something for you! I don't want you going near that bastard."
    Makenzie frowned and looked to the ground as Taehyung let go of her. "Why won't you call me that..."
    "What?"
    Makenzie looked up to Taehyungs's eyes. "Why don't you call me a bastard?! You father always did! Your father doesn't want us together, Kim Taehyung, and you should know this! Honestly how ignorant can you be!"
    She stomped off, "Wait, Kayla! Makenzie!" Taehyung ran after her eventually losing her at a turn.
"Damnit Makenzie" Then Taehyung remembered.
He enters the kitchen and then starts his search. Eventually finding her stuffing her face with rice. He sneaked up and back hugs her startling her.
"Thought I'd find you here, my princess" Taehyung spoke in his husky, seductive voice. Makenzie mumbles something as she continues stuffing her face.
"What was that?" Taehyung day as Makenzie spun around to face him. She swallowed her mouthful then said, "I said, you stupid prince. I thought you loved me more than that." She swept Taehyungs's bangs out of his face.
    "Kayla you know I love you. I love you more than anything" Taehyung leaned in and kissed Makenzie.
    "Shouldn't you be doing this in a room or something?" A girl walked into the room. Both parted quickly, "Who are you?" Taehyung ordered.
    "I'm the girl who wants food... Don't worry I won't tell anyone about your secret love affair." She said walking closer, "Oh, and my name is Falon, I'm a guard to King Yoongi."
    Makenzie came out from behind Taehyung, "I've heard of you, your the girl who was rumored to be in a relationship with your king."
    "And your the bastard who this prince loves so dearly he would give up his crown and title for you." Falon snapped back.
    "Enough, go back to your king." Taehyung ordered.
"Not until I get food." Falon spats as she goes to get some pie, and then left as quickly as she had came.
    "Don't listen to her princess, I love you and you shouldn't need to worry about your status." Taehyung says as he pulls her into him.
