Chapter Seven: Trail and Errors

Several Months Later

    "Case closed. Kim Taehyung you have been found guilty for the murder of previous kings and for the attempted murder of Makenzie Hilton¨ Jin said as stern as he could. His voice shaking slightly.
Makenzie stood there, frozen in shock. Lola was to her left and Jungkook to her right. She looked over to Taehyung as his head hung low. "Taehyung..." She spoke barely audible. 

    Taehyung slammed his hand onto the table. ¨I was not responsible for that girls murder! That was our evil father!¨ Taehyung yelled out at Jin. Gasps were heard throughout the room.

Jins expression darkened. "What proof do you have Taehyung?¨

"I overheard your argument about Makenzie that night, he wanted her gone. After the king stormed out of the library, I went to follow him. He grabbed a knife from the kitchen before heading to her room. However you and I both know Makenzie wasn't in her room at that time. What I didn't expect was that maid. He murdered her thinking she was Makenzie." Taehyung said as he broke his chains.

"So why did you kill our father?" Jimin asked looking to his younger brother in confusion.
"Cause you know as well as I do, he would have ended her whether it took one try or twenty."
Jin sighed, "You murdered and I cannot make this go away. You will spend two years in prison." Makenzie smiled and wiped the tears.

"Long Live King Seokjin!" Lola and Makenzie started to yell.

After people started to leave Makenzie ran to Taehyung and hugged him. "Oh my god! Tae!" She cried into his arms.

"It's ok Kayla. I'm fine" Taehyung spoke as he held her, kissing her forehead.

Guards came and stood beside Taehyung. "It's time to go.." One of the guards spoke.

"I want more time with him!¨ Makenzie spoke before of the guards pulled her away from Taehyung.
Taehyung smiled at her as he wiped her tears, "Please don't cry."

Makenzie shook her head. Taehyung gave her another hug before she was pulled away by Jungkook and Lola.

Taehyung walked away with the guards leading him to the tower.

*In the garden*

    "Kayla! What the hell!¨ Falon spoke as she sprinted over to Makenzie and Lola.

Makenzie was crying on a bench and Lola was beside her, "Its over."

"Kayla! What's over?" Falon said as she kneeled in front of Makenzie. She extended her hand to show a ring. A pink diamond ring. Lola gasped, "Your engaged! To who?¨

"Jungkook."

"Why?"

"The king thinks it's for the wellbeing of Jungkook" Makenzie speaks as she wipes her own tears.

"Did he think of your own well being?" Falon spoke as she stood up. She was pissed, She never believed in arranged marriages.

Jungkook walked into the garden. "Makenzie come on. We are heading home" Makenzie stood up and looked at her two friends. "Good-bye"
Falon looked to Lola as they both walked over to the throne room.

    Makenzie glanced at the kingdom she would've help rule. "Makenzie.." Jungkook spoke, his voice
cold and stern.

"What is it now your Highness" Makenzie spoke as she rolled her eyes, her act was breaking and she knew it. She couldn't afford her true self to show now.

¨I know this marriage will be hard for you and I understand. I just couldn't bare to see you with that murderer" Jungkook spoke trying to saw
sympathetic however that angered Makenzie, "I rather marry a murderer who is loyal than a whore who is not! Do you think it is alright to have another woman each night in your bed?! Do you think it is alright for you to take my innocence away, in shock and horror. Sexual assault?! Your evil! As for my prince I will not have you talk about Taehyung that way! I suggest you keep your mouth shut Your Highness"

Jungkook smacked her, outraged at her outburst, "You will not talk to me like that! Who do you think you are talking to the crowned prince of Etherion!¨
Makenzie held her cheek, "The only reason you're going to be the next king is because your the kings only son, and you are marrying me!¨

¨I could be king without marrying a bastard like you!"

¨I could be beside the man I love than be with a bastard like you" Makenzie snapped back.

"What is all this commotion?¨

"Jin?" Makenzie spoke as the door opened to reveal the new king of Arbeny.

He glanced at the couple then noticed the red on her cheek.

"BASTARD!" Jin yelled.

He picked Makenzie up and carried her out of the carriage. "That is kidnap against the prince of-"
"Shut up!" Jin snapped. He has never been so angry. His voice filled the silent air, Taehyung could probably hear from his prison tower.

Jin carried Makenzie to his horse before carefully placing her in front of him.

"Why are you here?" Makenzie said.

"Something felt off by the way you left the palace. I needed to go see." Jin said as he rode off back to the palace. She took the ring from her finger and threw it on the ground. Leaving Jungkook in an empty carriage.

"You do know this means war." She spoke as if she is silently blaming herself.

"So be it.."
