Chapter Eight: War

"Kayla!" Falon said coming down the stairs of the palace, Lola following behind her. "What on earth are you doing here!" Lola said as the girls had a group hug.

    "Your king saved me from my whore of a husband to be." Makenzie said bowing to Jin. "Kayla.. Go see Taehyung he needs to see you." Jin spoke leading Makenzie to the tower which Taehyung stayed. The vines climbed the tower making it look like something from Rapunzel.

    Guards were placed on both sides of the door. "King Jin! Are you here to see Prince Taehyung," One of the guards spoke.

    "Not me but Miss Kayla is." Jin spoke towards the guard. The guard turned to me and then back to Jin.
"Your majesty, you are the only one to visit the Prince."

"You do know your in the presence of the king and the prince ́s future wife."

I turned to look at Jin, giving him a glare in the process, he looked at me with a genuine smile.
"I have never heard of such a thing" The guard said looking at Makenzie in confusion.

Jin flashed the guard a death warning look. Immediately the guard kneeled.

"Thought so.. Now, open the door."

The guard got up while both the guards opened the door. Jin motioned Makenzie into the room.

Makenzie entered the room looking around she saw Taehyung at his desk with his head stuck in a book. She smiled and snuck up beside Taehyung, putting her hands over his eyes.

"Guess who?"

Taehyung put the book down and turned to face. "Makenzie? Oh my god, Kayla!" A smile painted his face, the light that was once gone when she last saw him was re-lit.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Taehyung looked at her before giving her a hug.

"Please Taehyung... I just got you back..."

Taehyung looked into her eyes and sighed "Fine..."

Makenzie sighs in joy as she turns to Taehyung, he smiled and wrapped his arms around the love of his life and kissed her on the forehead.

    "Would you be my princess again?"

    Makenzie smiled and pecked his lips. "I always was."

    The door opened "Hey Taehyung, have you seen- OH HEYYY~! If you would've told me I could have joined you."

    Quickly, Taehyung covered Makenzie, "No, just, no."

    "Well damn... Anyways, Makenzie is needed for a meeting and since your.. Well, here, Taehyung, you can't really attend."

    The door shut and Makenzie got out of bed before she was pulled back. "Don't leave me," Taehyung said burying his face into her shoulder.

"Tae.. I have too.."

"One more round?"

"No"

"Why?"

"Cause I have to go" Makenzie said while she put her clothes back on.

"Goodbye Taehyung..." She spoke as she closed the door.

Taehyung laid his head back as he thought about what had happened and slowly a smirk showed up on his face. "She really is something"

"Makenzie what in god's name are you doing here?" Prince Namjoon spoke as he looked at Makenzie who just entered.

"Im taking a temporary stay at Arbeny Palace. I am also here in the place of Taehyung."

"And how is that so?"

"Miss Makenzie is going to be my sister-in-law soon. I do hope that you show her the proper respect which I know you will." Jin said as he stood up taking Makenzie's hand guiding her to Taehyung's place, she sat in his seat.

"Now can I start off with good news?" King Yoongi spoke the joy in his voice was barely even there, but no one else noticed. He stood, "Since the murderer of King Sejong was found. I have decided to throw a ball in honor of King Seokjin and Prince Namjoon's marriage and the alliance of Arbeny and Belvoir.
Everyone in the room starts clapping.

The doors slam open to reveal a messenger from Etherion. "Your highness! I must inform you of the Kings death!"

Gasps are heard from the whole room and Jin stood. "Murder?"

"No Sire. Natural Causes. However due to the prince bride ́s kidnapping, he has declared war on Arbeny.
Jin nodded and looked to Makenzie before looking back to the messenger, "Tell your prince, that risking lives over a girl is ignorant. However she is happy here and if she wants to, she can stay. No further questions."

Lola's mouth dropped and she looked over to Makenzie as did Falon. All three looked to the king who stood up for his people. The care did not leave his eyes.

"Hail King Jin! Hail Prince Namjoon!" People from the crowd yelled and Jin got up and turned to Makenzie putting a hand on her shoulder.
