Hunter and Kai'Lan stared at each other not knowing if they should just run away in separate directions or greet each other.
After a few minutes of a silence hunter finally spoke up
Hunter: Kai'Lan isn't it Kai'Lan: yes hello (Kai'Lan simply replied. She didn't want him to see that she was nervous) Hunter: so what are you doing here ? Kai'Lan: I'm with a friend... um what about you ? Hunter: oh um I'm here with my fiancée ( He says while scratching the back of his ear ) Kai'Lan: oh that's nice. Hunter: did you get the email I sent you ? Kai'Lan: I got it but I didn't finish reading it Hunter: ok we'll make sure you finish reading it, you start Monday Kai'Lan: ok
As the two stood there in awkward silence Hunter got a better look of the woman who would be by his side soon.
When Kai looked away from him trying to break eye contact, he glanced down looking at her body. The first thing his eyes came into contact with was her breast. His eyes lowered taking in her curves that were hugged by her long dress.
From a table afar Hunters Fiancée watched the two. She could tell Hunter was checking out the girl he was with. Not wanting to watch anymore more of it she walked over to hunter.
When Hunter realized his fiancée was walking towards him, he broke the faze he was in and greeted his fiancée with a smile.
By the way the woman was walking towards the two, Kai'Lan could tell that the woman was Hunters Fiancée. She was a tall white woman with Black hair and emerald green eyes. She looked as if she belonged on an Italian fashion week magazine. She was wearing a tight black dress that brought out her eyes and black sandals.
even though what the woman wore was so simple just standing in front of her Kai'Lan felt underdressed at a casual beachside restaurant and Kai'Lan NEVER felt underdressed. She always dressed over the top.
Claudette: hello, Hunter I was getting impatient waiting for you ( she spoke in a thick French accent, letting Kai'Lan know this woman was most likely extravagant ) Hunter: oh I'm sorry babe I was just talking to my new secretary. Kai'Lan this is my fiancée Claudette. Kai'Lan: hello nice to meet you Claudette: um... yes hello Kai'Lan: this was cool meeting you guys here and all but my friends waiting for me. Bye!
Kai'Lan practically ran away from Hunter and his fiancée. Hunter smiled as she ran away he thought it was adorable how nervous she was.
Claudette wasn't very pleased , this was her first impression of Kai'Lan and she didn't like the thought of her being around Hunter all the time.
Hunter: let's go eat babe Claudette: about time , I thought you abandoned me
Kai'Lan sped walked up to the table where Jada was sitting
Kai: guess what ! Jada: where were you ? what happened ? Kai: Hunter is here ! ( she whisper screamed ) Jada: where ! I have to see him in person Kai: the table next to bar with the white lady, that's his fiancée and she came up to us when I was talking to him and I don't think she likes me and she's probably French and- Jada: ok calm down. That's awkward ( Jada laughed at Kai ) Kai: I'm not staying here cause I just made eye contact with him again and that's weird so let's go Jada: what about out food, it's not here yet
Kai'Lan then called a waiter over and asked her to put their food in takeout plates while her and Jada payed the bill.
While Kai and Jada waited for the waiter to come back with their to go plates she covered a side of her face so that she wouldn't make eye contact with Claudette or Hunter.
After the food came Kai and Jada fled the restaurant without anyone noticing they were in a rush. A few minutes after Jada and Kai left Hunter looked over at their table to see it empty.
In the car
Kai: that was so awkward !!!! I'm gonna die in embarrassment Jada: why are you embarrassed , At least you looked cute and we weren't dressed like bums then that would've been embarrassing. Kai: but that's so weird , seeing your boss out of work and having to talk to them... that's like seeing your mom in a club. Jada: at least you didn't see the guy you almost had a one night stand with at church Kai: ahaha that's your fault , you should know not to hookup with guys that live near you then you'll see them all the time. Jada: yo virgin ass wouldn't know about hooking up Kai: oh shut up . And tomorrow we going to buy clothes . I start work Monday and I need some clothes Jada: you tryna impress him Kai: girl no... not really.. aha....
