It was about 5 am when Kai woke up. Today was her first day on the job and she didn't want to upset Hunter.
She went to her bathroom and took a shower with her cherry blossom body gel and scrubbed until she felt clean.
Not knowing what to wear Kai stood at her closet, she should've picked out an outfit the night before. She did that for every first day.. first day of highschool, first day of college but when she needed to impress the most she wasn't prepared.
After staring into her closet imagining how outfits would look, she picked out a pair of plaid pants, a long sleeve black shirt and clear heels. She felt basic but it'd have to do.
After doing her hair and light makeup, Kai was finally ready to leave her apartment by now it was 6 and she had to be at the coffee shop by 6:40 to pick up Hunters coffee.
She grabbed her jacket and purse and sped walked out the door locking it behind her.
She went to her car and drove off, today was the beginning of something that could be big for kai. This company was successful, big and could open new doors for her she wasn't going to let a coffee stop her. When Kai'Lan finally walked into the coffee shop it was 6:42. Kai'Lan paid for the coffee on the business card and left the store frantically.

Kai'Lan managed to arrive to the building at about 6:57 she greeted everyone and went into the elevator.
After a few slow seconds Kai'Lan was at the 18th floor In Hunters office.
Kai'Lan : good morning sorry I was running late Hunter: it's your first day and you've managed to mess up already , you were supposed to be here by 6:50 ( he said taking the coffee from Kai's hands ) Kai'Lan: I-I'm sorry it took longer to reach the coffee shop than I anticipated Hunter: strike 1 Ms.Hayes I run a tight ship here, ask about me. Kai'Lan: I'll make sure to be on time tomorrow

Hunter: I won't accept it any other way Kai'Lan: ok... Hunter: since you've managed to be so late, we're already behind. I won't have you messing with my time, I have a meeting today and I need you to arrange the conference room for it, I also have some upcoming meetings that I need to you to book and set up. (He said pushing the iPad and folders in front of her ) Kai'Lan: I can do that Hunter: surprising Kai'Lan: um I'll get to it then Hunter: get someone to show you where your office is I'll call you if I need you, if not don't come in here unless it's an emergency. I don't need anyone wasting my time Kai'Lan: well ok then, understood
Kai'Lan left the office and stepped into the elevator . She was already tired of hunters bad attitude and it's only been a few minutes.
She slumped against the elevator wall for a few seconds before it dinged open.
She went to the front desk where she saw Nina the lady she had talked to the day of her interview.
Nina: look at you on your first day, why so gloomy ? Kai'Lan: I ran late today and this was supposed to be my good impression Nina: don't sweat it girl , he has to see something in you because any secretary that brings something in late is immediately fired Kai'Lan: I guess I better consider myself "lucky" then Nina: somewhat. Im sure you'll be fine as the days go by Kai'Lan : by the way do you know where my office is Nina: all of the offices are on the 10th floor but since you're secretary I'm guessing yours is on the 17th floor right under Mr.Grays, just turn left through the first door Kai'Lan: ok thank you
Kai'Lan walked back up to the elevator and pushed the button to the 17th floor, when she reached the floor her mind instantly went blank
Kai'Lan: was it left or right turn... I'm right handed so right it is
Kai'Lan sped off to turn through the right door before she could make it through she bumped into a hard chest
When she looked up she saw Hunters tall frame staring at her and he didn't seem happy Hunter : what are you doing over here Kai'Lan: I was trying to find my office Hunter: left door smartie Kai'Lan : no need to be rude
And with that Kai'Lan walked away going to find her office
As she turned around she rolled her eyes mumbling under her breath, she was so tired of his bullshit.
As Kai'Lan walked away hunter stared at her while she left, she had managed to annoy him 2 times in less than 2 hours yet he still didn't hate her like he did the secretary's before
