Trixie finally pulled away gently and sat down on the steps in front of the door way, next to Katya.
She turned to face her and locked eyes with Katya - she could feel her face flushed with heat.
"I'm sorry."
Katya mumbled.
"For what?"
"I just had to make sure I did that before... well...I couldn't."
Trixie laughed and smiled widely - a genuine grin.
"I'm glad you did."
Trixie leaned back on her palms and hummed quietly with the music that started playing.
Last night I had the strangest dream
Katya looked over and chuckled as she leaned into Trixie, quickly finding comfort in the familiar smell and touch of the Barbie blonde.
I sailed away to China
In a little row boat to find ya
Trixie looked at Katya and bit at her lip nervously.
And you said you had to
get your laundry clean
Katya took notice and looked up concerned,
"What's wrong?"
Trixie shook her head.
"Nothing..."
Didn't want no one to hold you
Oh what does that mean?
Trixie looked back at the door.
"Do you want to come inside...?"
Katya raised an eyebrow,
"What about your dad?"
"He's on a business trip."
Katya blinked a couple times before nodding hesitantly.

I gotta to keep on movin'
Trixie stood up and reached a hand out to help Katya up and inside
"Your mom knows you're here right?"
Trixie assured
Katya shrugged and chuckled as she took off her shoes
"I'm with you. I'm safe."
Trixie felt herself blush again and smiled warmly
"Alright..."

I'm running and I won't touch ground
Oh-no,
I gotta to keep on movin'
Trixie helped Katya upstairs and into her room and they settled on her bed together. She left her phone on the bedside table and laid bad with the other girl.
You're on the road and
now you pray it lasts
but now you're feeling cocky
you look at me and see your past
"I missed you... so much."
"I missed you, too."
Trixie felt around for a moment before finding Katya's hand in her own and squeezing it gently.
Is that the reason

and she said
"Trixie!"
A mans voice called from downstairs
Trixie and Katya both sat up straight and stared at the door
"I thought you said he was on a business trip?"
Katya asked nervously
"He was - he is..!"
Trixie stammered
"I swore he was."

Nobody gonna slow me down, oh-no
I got to keep on moving
The foot steps grew louder up the stairs and down the hallway... making their way slowly towards Trixie's bed room door

"You're not safe with me, Katya... I'm so sorry."
{ A/N: Hello! I have returned! Thank you to everyone who was so patient and kind and forgiving for my absence the last few months, I'm not going to lie it has been ROUGH. And very! Busy. I am in university now; so that's cool! But I'm still working, I also write music / do photography and write my own personal work on the side and need to study and work a retail job and somehow juggle friends, family and whatnot in the midst of all this so I apologize for this just has not been priority, so this is a bit short because I wanted to get something out that wasn't too rushed an awful, hopefully come Sunday I'll have the day off to work further - but I promised an update so HERE it is!
