Jungkook had been left behind at the rented house with the young band mates and Yoongi who wasn't being much of a help. Jungkook decided to call in the reinforcements (mangers) who were paid to deal with the young musicians and keep them in check. Jungkook wouldn't have needed their help had he not been completely thrown off his game by his lovely husband.
Once the managers arrived he went outside to relax and wait for the others to come back from wherever they went off to. He was slightly irritated by their absences, but decided to focus on the fact he was going to be a daddy soon. Jimin was carrying his baby. He was still shocked. He was further shocked when the doctor revealed his due date was two months away. He knew that he had sex with Jimin on their wedding night and honeymoon, but that was only six months prior. He learned from Tae that he actually had sex with Jimin before he they got married several times, when he thought he dreamed it, but it had been real. He also learned that he had been Jimin's first everything, making their relationship more special to him. But he really wanted to talk to Jimin about everything.
He was daydreaming what their child will look like, he hoped the baby would look more like his beautiful husband, when he was interrupted by Jin. "Hey Jungkook." "Oh hey Hyung. I didn't know you knew where we were staying. Is Jimin with you?" Jin gave a slight smile, "no, he's still at our house." Those words made Jungkook cringe inside, hearing someone else say something like that about his husband. But he let it go for now. "What are you doing here then?" The younger questioned. "He wants to see you." It took less than a second Jungkook to jump up in joy, "Really? You're not kidding or joking? Jiminie really wants to see me?!" He sank to his knees, hands clasped together, thanking whatever cosmic forces made this possible.
Within a few minutes they were on their way to the guest house on Ellen's property where Jin and Jimin had taken residence. Jungkook was impressed with the sprawling lawns, gardens and of course the mansion. He was shocked to say the least when he found out Jin's aunt was none other than Ellen Degeneres. His mom and her were childhood friends and she had been one of the first people she came out to and didn't get judged for her sexuality. This made their bond as sisters stronger. Jin had only known her as his aunt Ellen and aunt Portia once they married, he never bragged about his connections with such a celebrity, he wasn't raised that way.
"Jin Hyung, I'm freaking out. Is he going to yell at me again? I hope not. I don't want his blood pressure to go up, he needs to think about the baby." Jin let Jungkook ramble but he had the same thoughts. Jimin had been moody lately, which was normal according to the doctor. He just hoped that the couple could repair their marriage, they loved each other.
They pulled up to a small cottage with colorful flowers in the front, no doubt a product from Jimin. Jungkook stayed in the car once Jin got out, he was frozen by fear. He swallowed heavily, "what if he says he doesn't love me anymore? What if he tells me to never see him again. Hyung, what will I do? I love him." His tears flowed freely down his face at the possibilities. "Look Kook, you aren't gonna know until you actually talk to him, right?" The youngest knew he was right, he was just afraid to lose what he recently found.
The duo came into the house where Jimin had fallen sleep on the couch with Namjoon, Hobie and Tae on the remaining furniture asleep as well. Jungkook lovingly stared at his small husband. His small hands were wrapped around his swollen belly. Jungkook's fear disappeared as soon as he saw Jimin, he practically glided over, kissing him on the forehead. "I love you so much Jimin. I'm so so sorry for everything. I will never hurt you again. I promise." Jimin's eyes fluttered open, he saw the raven haired maknae's head on his chest. "Have you been crying Kookie?"
His small hand wiped the tears away. A small smiled escaped Jungkook's lips. "Jiminie, did you hear what I just said?" Jimin had learned how to keep his emotions in check, most of the time, but he wanted to hear the words again. "No, what do you mean Kookie?" Jungkook looked deep into Jimin's eyes and said the person he longed to hear for years, "Jimin, I love you and only you. I'm so happy I married you. I've always loved you as a best friend, but I fell in love with you. I'm so sorry for everything I ever put you through before and after we married. I treated you like shit and blamed everything other than myself."
He stopped long enough to inhale deeply, " I took so much from you, your first everything, you never complained you never said anything bad or wrong to me. I never meant to use you, I'm such an asshole for what I did. I even used you to get my inheritance. You deserve so much more than than. I understand if you want to divorce me and leave forever." The maknae looked at his beautiful husband's eyes as he spoke, both in tears, one for fear of losing his chance at happiness and one who was happy at his dreams coming true.
"Jimin, I'm sorry for everything. Please forgive me." "Kookie, please hold me for a second." Jungkook obliged immediately. Having his husband in his arms made him feel complete. The same was true of Jimin. He was still afraid though. Biting his lip, "talk to me Kookie. Tell me what happened to get us here? You know what I almost did right?" Jungkook was trembling at his question, because of course he knew Jimin nearly killed himself and he was the cause. His heart was breaking all over again after seeing the pool of blood on their bathroom floor.
"Jimin everything she told you were lies. Did you hear the recording? I got that the day you left, right before you left. I tried to stop you," he bowed his head before continuing in a near whisper, "I saw the blood Jimin. I saw what almost happened because of my stupidity. I'm so sorry, please believe me, please believe I never cheated on you, I never tried to get rid of you, I never wanted to leave you." He takes Jimin's hands in his own, "I am the dumbest asshole to ever exist but you have always been at my side, my rock. Without you I'd be nothing. I would be miserable. I've been miserable."
Jimin tried to be stoic but failed. His tears at his husbands confession lightened his heart and made his stomach do flip flops. He looked deep into the doe eyes he fell in love with a long time ago and tried to answer his husband, but was gently cut off. "Hold on before you-you reject me," Jungkook continued his confession. His breath was shaky and uneven as he tried to hold back his tears, "before you decide to divorce me and stop loving me, I want you to know I love you Jeon Jimin. I have loved you for a long time, I just never let myself believe it until I lost you. My life is not complete without you. You're my light. I love you." He concluded his confession believing he already lost his sweet husband due to his idiocy.
Jimin sat up, placing his legs around his husband, "Kookie, look at me." The doe eyed man held his breath and looked at his ethereal husband, he was terrified, "I love you too. I've always loved you since I can remember. I want to believe you, but it seems very surreal right now. Does that make sense?"
"I will give you all the time in the world to trust me Jiminie. I promise to make you happy. I want us to be together for us and our child. I miss you. I miss you in our bed, our apartment, at work. I miss talking to my best friend. I miss hanging out with him and holding him. We're having a baby Jiminie, I want to be there for everything. Please let me show you I mean everything I say."
To Jungkook's surprise and everyone else's Jimin wrapped his arm around his husband's neck, bringing him closer. Meeting his lips with his own. Jimin's soft pillow lips met with Jungkook's, sending shocks throughout his system. This was better than he remembers. He wrapped his arms around his beautiful husband pulling him close and continuing to kiss his lips, pulling away when they became breathless. They touch their foreheads, looking lovingly into each other's eyes, the rest of the world stopped existing for them now, no words were exchanged just feelings and looks of love as they continued to kiss and hold each other. Jungkook had a lot to make up for, years of hurting his love; he was definitely up for the challenge.
