"Just because you are struggling doesn't mean you're failing"

Harper, Scott, Stiles and James all arrived at the school parking lot. "Where is she?" James and Harper asked as they and Stiles walked over to Scott.
"Over here" Lydia said, the four looked over and saw Allison and Lydia. Harper and the others walked over to them.
"Lydia" Harper said "It's the same thing. Same thing as the pool. I got into the car heading somewhere totally different, and ended up here. And you told me to call you if there's a dead body" Lydia said "You found a dead body?" Stiles asked "Not yet" Lydia said "'Not yet'? What do you mean 'Not yet'? You're supposed to call us after you find the dead body" Stiles said "No, I'm not doing that again, you find the dead body from now on" Lydia said "How are we supposed to find the dead body? You're always the one finding the dead body" Stiles said.
"Guys. I found the dead body" Scott said.
They all looked over and saw a deputy's dead body laying on the school sign. Stiles recognized the deputy, it was Tara Graham.

Stiles was standing behind a pillar watching his dad talking with the school principal.
Stilinski noticed his son was watching, "Excuse me" he said and walked over to Stiles.
Stiles turned around and covered his face with his backpack as he was about to walk away "Hey. Hey, hey, hey. Back it up" Stilinski said, Stiles lowered his backpack down and he turned around to look at his dad "I know what you're thinking. I know you've got all these ideas about patterens and people dying in threes..." "Dad, murdered, okay? Sacrificed, actually" Stiles said cutting him off "I've got half the state including the FBI, coming in on this. They're not getting away with killing one of your own" Stilinski said "Dad, they killed Tara. You know, how many times did she help me with my math homework when I had to wait at the station for you?" Stiles said "Just get to class, okay?" Stilinski said and walked away.

"Idioms, analogies, metaphors, and similes, all the tools the writer uses to tell their story" Ms. Blake said as she walked across the class. She stopped by Lydia's table when she noticed that she was drawing a sketch of a tree.
"Lydia, I wasn't aware you had so many hidden talents" Ms. Blake said "You and every guy I've ever dated" Lydia said "Well, that was an idiom by the way" Ms. Blake said and looked at James and Harper before she continued "Idioms are something of a secret to the people who know the language or the culture" she said and stopped in front of her table, she looked at Stiles and then at Scott.
"They're phrases that only make sense if you know key words. Saying jump the gun is meaningful only if you know about the starting gun in a race, or a phrase like seeing the whole board" Ms. Blake said "Like chess" Stiles said "That's right Stiles. Do you play?" Ms. Blake asked "No. My father does" Stiles said "Now, when does an idiom become a cliche?" Ms. Blake asked.
