Natasha's long speech really made Steve start to rethink his choices. What if he was just overreacting? They were just teenagers after all and who actually is in a committed relationship so early on in their life? Maybe this was exactly how relationships were supposed to be.

Even if it was it wasn't Steve. He wasn't the type of guy to play with a girl's feelings just so he can say he has a girlfriend. Yelena deserved to know the truth. He couldn't stay with her, it wasn't fair.

He met up with her later that day, she was coming to his practice. It was really nice of her and he really did appreciate it, especially because he knew she didn't really want to be there.

"You did so well!" She smiled as he walked over to her after changing. He was in sweats and a t-shirt and had a towel wrapped around his neck.

"Oh uh thank you, Yelena."

"You know, if you keep this up I am sure you'll win the homecoming game." She smiled. He looked down, he had to talk to her.

"Speaking of homecoming,"

"Right homecoming! I am so excited, did you know I have never been to homecoming before?" She asked, but it was more of a statement. "I am so excited, I know you haven't officially asked me but I figured since we are dating now that we would go together, and I can't wait to find you a suit-"

"Yeah about that suit Yelena,"

"If you are worried about the cost don't worry, I will get you one free of charge, I want you to look great after you win the game. What do you think we should wear? Color-wise. We need a color that fits both of us and personally red would look good or you know what? Blue. Your eyes would pop and I'd look so royal."

"Yelena,"

"But of course if you don't like it we could always go another color, I am not picky at all."

"Yelena." He repeated. "Can you stop?"

"What?" She asked smiling confusingly at him.

"Listen, you are great, amazing even." she smiled. "But this thing between us, whatever it is has to end."

"What?" She asked.

"I am sorry."

"Sorry? Steve, what are you talking about?" She asked. "You're confusing me."

"I think we should break up."

"What?" She asked, she almost wanted to laugh. "You want to break up? Break up with me?"

"Listen, I want you to know it has nothing to do with you, but I just don't feel anything for you and it's not fair to either of us if we continue this relationship."

"Wait are you serious? Because if you aren't I don't like how you are acting right now Steve." She said Steve could only stare at her rubbing the back of his neck. "Oh my, you're being serious right now."

"I am sorry,"

"Are you?"

"Excuse me?" He asked.

"Do you always do this? Get a girl to fall for you with your act and then break her heart like it's nothing?"

"I am not trying to hurt you, I am trying to be honest with you." He said. "If you'd just hear me out you'd understand."

"Do you understand that you are the first man I have ever felt some kind of feelings for? The only one I didn't leave after two days. Do you realize I stayed here for you!" She almost screamed. "I could have gone home but I was connected to you and I thought you were connected to me,"
