When they say high school was like riding a bike they mean a bike that is on fire, on the ground which is also on fire. IN FACT, everything is on fire because it freaking HELL.

In high school, you have more of a relationship with your acne then with anyone else! You are forced to take a PE, which stands for Pointless Efforts.

They are supposed to teach you what it's gonna be like in the real world, but let's be honest, when are we ever gonna use E= MC2 in real life?

Now it was bad enough that Natasha's parents wanted her to attend the top most difficult university, they also wanted her to experience the world. How is she gonna do that when she's in debt? Well, when she brought that up to them they smiled and a week later she was being shipped off to America where she would experience the world of education with the scent of fast food right outside. Fun.

She hoped that it would all be one big joke but as she boarded the plane that would take her to America she knew that is wasn't. She hoped her music would drown out the temper tantrum she was having in her mind.

To make matter worse when she arrived in America she was greeted by her foster family. Nick and Kennedy Fury. Aka the principal and Secretary of the school. So much for making a good impression.

"You must be Natasha," She smiled, Natasha eyed the woman carefully, she seemed nice enough but something told her that Kennedy was a force to be reconded with. She'd rather not piss her off. Besides, it wasn't there fault her parents that it would be a great idea to send her here. She'd play nice until they gave her a reason not to be.

"Yes, I am. Kennedy right?" She asked with a soft smile. She wondered how long she could play the nice excited new girl.

"So my reputation proceeds me, I am so excited you are here." She smiled. "As you know I am the secretary of the school so if you ever need any help do come to find me," She smiled. "Oh where are my manners, this is my husband Nick,"

"Well it's about time you remember me, woman, what am I chopped liver?" Nick joked and Natasha actually smiled. "Nice to meet you, Natasha, I am Nick the Principal and the person who get to pay for you for the next few months." Nick was slapped on the back of the neck by his wife.

"He's joking." She reassured.

"Right," Natasha let out slowly eyeing the two.  They were an unusual pair really, while Nick was more laid back and relaxed, Kennedy was more open and cheery. Opposites do attract apparently.

"Come on dear, let's get you settled in you have a big day tomorrow."

Steve Rogers was your average everyday kid.

Okay, I probably shouldn't be joking around. I want you to close your eyes and think of any sort of food. Go on. I will wait.

I assume you thought of something pretty obvious, something you probably eat yourself, well chances Steve Rogers has some sort of allergy to it.

Now, most high schoolers can be seen playing a sport, maybe participating in a ton of clubs, or in the highest classes possible, or let's be honest smoking in the bathroom, Steve Rogers couldn't do any of those things.

He was constantly in and out of the hospital most of his childhood, which effected his learning just a tad, he wasn't behind but he wasn't ahead either. He couldn't do many sports or stay outside for too long without falling into an endless loop of sneezes.

He tried to do more 'normal' things but his overprotective best friend was always there to stop him was being a so-called idiot. But Steve tried to make the most of it, even took up art, one of the things he could do without almost dying.

The doctor told him last year that most of his allergies were going away and so he was only now starting to get into the swing of what a normal life was. But due to his lack of physical activity as a child, he was a bit smaller than everyone else. But he planned to work on that, even got himself some weights. Yeah maybe they were four pounds each but you gotta start somewhere.

"Come on man, we are gonna be Juniors this year. Finally, upperclassmen, where we belong," Steve and his best friend James Barnes were walking down the street holding their new backpacks. They had a choice because they weren't too gifted when it came to money, but to the boys, it was more than enough.

"Buck," Steve said, his nickname for his best friend, "You act like weren't just lower classmen. What even is the difference?" He asked.

"The difference is we are finally getting some respect around the school," Steve laughed.

"We never get any respect bud, being upperclassmen won't change that," he said. "Maybe the lower classmen won't be so mean but,-"

"Enough chit chat bud," They said as they arrived at James's apartment. "I will pick you up tomorrow yeah? Big day."

"yeah yeah, whatever," Steve mumbled. "See you tomorrow Buck,"

"See you tomorrow punk," And with that Bucky was off into to house probably to sleep for the next few hours. Steve shook his head before going down a few houses to his own apartment.

As Steve climbed the stairs to his house he noticed the couple next door was just coming home. He smiled at the kid who was around his age, but he made no indication he wanted to be friendly. Steve knew the kid his entire life but has never heard him say a word. But his parents on the other hand, damn were they loud as heck when they are yelling each other's ears off. Despite the kids cold demenor Steve always tried to be nice to him, was pretty sure his name was Clint or thats at least what his mother would yell five times a day.

Steve walked into his house and was met with the smell of rice being cooked. He loved it when she cooked homemade dinners.
"Stevie is that you"

"Yeah ma, it's me," Steve said removing his shoes and coat and placing them by the door.

"How was shopping with James?" She asked as Steve came into the kitchen. His mother was a kind older lady with the same blonde hair as her son and same kind blue eyes. Steve was surely her son.

"It's was alright," He answered. "How was work."

"Long," She sighed. "Sometimes I wish the coustomers would learn some patience," She laughed. "Your friend umm what's his name. Thor? Yes. He was in once again."

You see Thor was the name of a former foreign exchange student. He loved everyone and was insanely friendly which is probably why he was friends with Steve. Those two standing next to one another didn't make sense.

The weird thing with Thor was once Freshman year was over no one expected to see him again, so when he showed up to Sophmore year everyone was shocked, happy, but shocked. He was a good guy, a bit dumb, but nice.

"One of these days he's gonna stop going there and giving me $20 for a shake. Also think, he should stop hanging out with Bruce and Tony in the lab, he starting to act a like weird." Bruce and tony, The science nerds. You assume a rick boy like Stark would be popular, well he was, but he was also connected to science at the hip. He likes to create things, and when he and bruce made things together, Thor was just the person to call to test it. It's like they were trying to kill the guy.

"Okay enough chit chat, let's eat some food!" She smiled and Steve helped set the table for two. Having these dinners with his mother seemed to calm his first day to school nerves, maybe things would be different. Only time would tell.

But then again, how can things get better when you have to go back to school?
