Natasha had never felt as cold and alone as she did sitting in the hospital. She had woken up an hour or so ago, Yelena was asleep right beside her on the couch. Natasha didn't blame her for passing out, she's been here all day, and she needed some sleep.

She couldn't sleep, her head was too deep in thought. She felt empty. Empty and cold. She didn't necessarily feel sad, maybe that was because it never quite settled in that she was pregnant, to begin with. No, she wasn't sad. She wasn't anything but cold and empty.

She did want to see Steve. She wanted- needed to apologize. He'd probably tell her that she's being insane, or that she did nothing wrong, but it just doesn't feel that way. They were going to have a baby. She can now add that little bundle of joy will now add to the long list of things her parents took away from her.

Suddenly a new feeling filled her body. Fear. It was like everything was coming to a pause as she began to question her entire life. How much more would they take away from her before she has nothing left? Would she always be stuck in this over whelming cycle of distrust and adandoment? She didn't want to live like this anymore.

She didn't want to look at her parents ever again. Neither of them would even come to visit her, they don't care about her. She's sitting her in pain and they are probably at some shit show of a party. Lying to themselves and everyone around them. She hoped they got what they had coming to them. Once she can leave, she's never coming back. She will never see them again.

"You should be resting," A voice, a familuar one, brought her out of her painful thoughts. She looked up, and for a moment she thought she was hallucinating. Maybe they gave her too many drugs.

Standing before her, Steve Rogers, the love of her life. He tall blonde protector. He wasn't here. She was simply manifesting him in her mind. He was back in America, he wasn't here in Russia. Sure, she wished and prayed her come to her, but he couldn't. It wasn't possible.

"You know I would think you'd be happier to see me," He said, with a small smirk, there was a sadness behind it, as if fake Steve was worried about her. Steve would be worried about her, but he wouldn't be stupid enough to waste money on a plane ticket to come and see her.

"I am losing my mind," She mumbled rubbing her temples.

"How so?"

"Because you aren't here. You are at home."

"How do you know I am not real?" He asked, with a teasing look, he still looked sad, no matter how hard he tried to hide it, he was worried about her.

"Because my Steve isn't stupid enough to waste all the money he saved to come visit me in the hospial. He's saving up for his future. I told him not to come visit me, he's not stupid enough to disobey me."

"Apparently you haven't met me." He laughed softly. "I am very stupid." Natasha looked up and stared into his gorgous blue eyes. He reached out for her to touch his hand, to prove that he was here, here for her. She carefully reached out, almost afraid that he would dissapear if she did. But he didn't.

"You're here?" She whispered. "What? how?" She pulled him closer to her.

"Tony. He stole his dad's private jet." He laughed. "Had to bride the nurse down stairs to let me up. Tony is down their right now making the deal." He walked close to her bed and moved his hands to cup her face. "How are you feeling."

"Better now that you're here." She whispered. The sudden guilt started to flood her body. "How did you know I was here?"

"Yelena." He nodded to the blonde who was still asleep. "She called me when they took you in for surgery." He said softly.
