The tapping on her desk was really starting to annoy Clint as he sat beside Natasha in their math class. He looked over at her and saw the very nervous look that had been plastered on her face all of the class. He raised an eyebrow almost finding her current state amusing.

"What's going on with you?" He finally asked. "You seem like your about to crap your pants."

"Shut it bird brain." She mumbled. He let out a laugh.

"Why do you care so much about this test? To honest here I think the teach is out to fail all his students." He shrugged. "besides look at me, I've failed every single test in this class for the last month and I am doing just fine."

"See Clint, some of us don't want to retake this grade." She said.

"Please if the teachers hate you enough they just start passing you cause they don't want to chance having you in their class again." He shrugged. "It's worked for me this far. Hey so hows it going with the golden retriever." She gave him a questioning look. "You know Steve."

"Yeah I got that," She sighed. "It's good, great actually. We connected a lot more than I would have imagined." She smiled remembering their date yesterday.

As it turned out the rain lasted much longer than they would have guessed. They didn't get back to Natasha's house until very late, earning Steve a much-hated glare from Nick. Natasha told him not to worry about but it still made Steve nervous. He managed to forget her worries the rest of their time together and for once in a long time she felt happy.

"Okay class its time take this test," The teacher sighed and then began passing out the test.

"Wait," Clint muttered. "We have a test? I thought he was giving our test back!" He began to panic but then calmed down. "Wait I just remembered something,"

"What would that be?" she asked.

"I don't care. I'm gonna fill in C for all the answers then take a nap."

"I hate to break it to you Mr. Barton but this is not a multiple-choice test," The teacher said handing him a test. "And if you could go through one of my classes without sleeping, that would be nice."

"I can't make any promises," He said taking the test. "But I'll take your request into consideration," He said. The teacher only shook his head and then walked away. Natasha looked down at her test and her breathing hitched. Why was she so nervous? She'd done this stuff a million times this weekend. Just remember what Tony said, remember the skills. Here goes nothing.

Steve was in her own class also sitting nervously in his class. They weren't doing much but free time but that only allowed him to ponder more on Natasha. He too was feeling incredibly nervous for her. He didn't want her to go, and not just because he was head over heels in love for her, but because he didn't want her to suffer.

After hearing her story Steve decided it was going to be his mission to make sure she stays safe. She meant everything to him, he was going to protect her.
"Steve," Someone almost purred his name. "How are you doing?"

"Sharon? oh um I'm okay," He said. Sharon was a good student, she was probably one of the tops in the class but she relied a bit more on her looks than studies.

"Have you spoken with Peggy lately?" She asked moving her seat closer to Steve. Steve watched her carefully.

"Umm no, we haven't had a chance," He said. "Is there something I can help you with Sharon?"

"Look Steve the cheerleaders want to have a school event and we were thinking to have the football team would bring more school spirit. Since you are the team captain I figured I could bring this up with you."
