"E-Ennard? I-I thought you left. ."

"I decided to hang around to see what was up, is all."

"A-And you saw me and my parents?"

"(Y/N), how have you been dealing with them?"

"Well. ." The child paused as he/she clutched her (f/c) sweater when the cold wind blew on them. The sweater wasn't effective because of Ennard's cold arms. Well, he's made out of metal or something. "I guess they've been d-doing that f-. . for a long time, as long as I c-can remember. ." He/She said. "They beat you up?" The robot asked, confirming if it was what he thought it was. The answer he got as a nod from the child. "I see."

"Ennard? W-Why did you 'hang around', exactly?"

"Some questions are better off unanswered, kid."

"O-Oh. . o-okay. ."

As the mangled robot made his way to the closed pizzeria, he took glances upon the (Y/N), who was sleeping in his arms. He/She fell asleep during the trip due to exhaustion. He/She looked peaceful in his/her sleep, even though he/she went through hell and back. The walk seemed to be endless. The wind was howling, the moon was shining bright across the star sown sky. He will never forget what he saw. He will never forget what happened to (Y/N). And he'll make sure he'll/she'll never get through that again. He looked up at the glass door infront of him, his reflection staring back at him. He put the child's head on his left shoulder, put his arm under the back on his/her knees and used his free arm to open the door. He quietly closed the door behind him, not wanting to wake up the sleeping child. He went to Ballora Gallery. There, he saw a ballerina sitting on the stage, deep in thought. He went closer and tapped her shoulder. "Ballora?" Ennard called causing the ballerina to snap out of her trance. She looked up at him. "Oh, Ennard. You're back. Is (Y/N) at his/her ho-" She stopped talking, and was surprised when she saw the sleeping child in his arms. "What happened? Didn't you take him/her home?" She asked, concerned of what might have happened to them when they left.

"Bal. Something happened." Ennard answered. Ballora couldn't read his expression, which made her more worried.

"W-What is it?"

"He/She is not going back to his/her home."

"Why?" The ballerina asked. He didn't answer her. Instead, he looked at her, hoping she'd get it.

When she realized it, she turned silent. She didn't want to believe it. Ballora looked at Ennard and asked in a quivering voice.

"Did she get hurt?"

Both of them stayed silent. It was like everything around them was engulfed in darkness. Both of them didn't say a word until they heard a whimper. Ennard and Ballora looked at (Y/N), who had tears in his/her eyes. "O-Oh, (Y/N). I didn't know you were awake." Ballora said. "Are you okay, kid?" She added. (Y/N) only nodded. "Y-Yeah. I-I guess so." Ennard put (Y/N) down, and knelt to his/her height. "Kid, I need you to be honest about something." He said in a serious tone. "Sure, what is it?"

"What did your parents do to you?"

(Y/N) suddenly turned silent, as if he's/she's trying to think of the right words to say. "You don't have to answer us if you're not comfortable, kid." Ennard reassured, ruffling the child's (h/c) hair. "But, do tell us if you're comfortable and we can help in any way we can." Ballora said with a smile. (Y/N) turned to Ennard and asked. "Can you tell her, Ennard?" I nodded. "Tell me what?"

"Well, it's getting late. You should get some shut-eye, kid." Ennard said. "C-Can I s-sleep later? I'm not-" He/She stopped to yawn before continuing his/her sentence. "I'm not sleepy."

"Sure you're not. Come on, it's getting late." Ennard took a tablecloth from a table nearby and gave it to (Y/N). "Here, you know where the Scooping Room is. Go ahead, I need to talk to Ballora for a bit." He said. The child nodded and ran off. "You can't leave the child alone like that." Ballora said, worried of what might happen to (Y/N) if left alone. "And (Y/N) said that you have something to tell me. What is it?" She added, curiosity in her voice. "Alright, I'll tell you."

. . .

After he told her about what happened, Ballora said that she'll try her best to make (Y/N) feel at home here, before leaving to inform the others that the child was staying. Ennard made his way to the scooping room. He entered Funtime Auditorium, letting out an annoyed sign. He hoped he won't be bumping into any walls, or some tables. After a few minutes, he still couldn't find his way to the Scooping Room. He wanted to call out to Funtime Foxy to help him get through, but she might be hitting the sacks. But who needs some fox's help? He can get through this dark room by himself, Ennard thought seconds before he tripped over a chair. "GAH!" He fell onto the floor. He heard footprints coming closer and his eye met with yellow ones.

"That was quite a fall. You okay?" Foxy asked, containing her laughter. "Of course I am!" Ennard exclaimed. "Sure, sure." Foxy rolled her eyes and helped Enmard up. "Where were you?" Ennard asked. "(Y/N) came here earlier, sayin' he/she was heading to the Scooping Room. So I helped her out." The fox answered. "Oh. Alright then."

Funtime Foxy helped Ennard to the Scooping Room. "Hey, you know that room is dangerous, right? You shouldn't leave a kid there." She said. "He/She won't get hurt. I already shut it down." Ennard replied. "Yeah, yeah. You pressed every button and flipped every switch for a good 30 minutes before you finally thought of breaking the module." The fox animatronic sneered. "I'm not a technician!" Ennard said before going inside and closing the door. "Okay, okay. Goodnight." He heard Funtime Foxy's footsteps moving away from the door.

When he turned around, he saw (Y/N) sleeping on the floor. The tablecloth was covering his/her little body. He sat against the wall next to him/her and sighed.

"You're really strong, kid. Been through hell and back and you're still standing."

"Don't worry, we'll take care of you."

"I promise."
