after the world has been dominated by the fallen angel, mafumafu and his gang, his master, luz who is a demon became king of the whole world.

luz has reigned for thousands of years and he still is reigning at the present, with his gang on his side. when suddenly he felt like he needed a female companion in his life.

he needed a wife.

and so, his royal bodyguard and friend who is also a demon, araki announced a grand ball in the (kinda) large town they were currently staying at. araki told the people to bring their daughters that are 18 to 25 years old to the grand ball tonight, and if their daughter was chosen, they will receive a huge reward but their daughter stays with luz forever.

even those women who don't have parents but are 18 to 25 years old are required to attend the grand ball, those who disobey will get killed.

y/n, who is a normal friendly girl, was informed about this grand ball.

"i'm just 17 so i can't attend that ball, megu." y/n told her bestfriend who keeps annoying her to go to the ball.

"but you're turning 18 tonight! did you forget?" megu answered with a gasp, making y/n frown slightly.

"i don't have anything to wear for that ball anyways so i'd rather just sleep, i'm sorry." she answered with a small pout making megu whine, but y/n ignored her and made her way back to her house.

y/n doesn't have anyone with her- her parents, everyone she is related by blood with, has died years ago when she was still little.

but she has megu whom she deeply loves and was extra noisy today, forcing her to attend the ball saying she might become the demon king's wife- which was impossible. but who knows, even megu is dating that cupid nqrse. (he's cupid right? or smth like that idk)

as y/n was cleaning her house for the fourth time out of boredom, there was a knock on her door and she went to open it. she was welcomed by a panting megu who was holding a huge rectangular box and a make-up kit.

"you're dressing up in my house?" y/n asked with a puzzled look. megu rolled her eyes at her playfully, "pfft, no! i'm dressing you up too!" she exclaimed and welcomed herself into y/n's house.

megu dragged y/n in front of her mirror and chair and sat her down. y/n was about to complain about megu's actions but megu shut her up. y/n just sighed and let megu do her work.

megu is a fast-worker so she was done with y/n's and her own makeup. she also helped y/n put on the dress she gave her and y/n did the same to megu. they both finished dressing up forty-five minutes before the ball and they set off with a carriage to the demon king's castle.

they arrived just on time for the ball, but megu was welcomed by her boyfriend in the entrance (since he was also one of luz's people) so they had to part from each other.

"i casted a spell on you so you better seduce that demon king, i'm counting on you ~!" megu told y/n with a huge grin before going with that cupid-guy.

y/n sighed lightly before going inside the ball by herself, as soon as she went in, she was welcomed by a very noisy environment which she didn't liked particularly but can stand it as long as no one directly annoys her.
