It was now Monday, I was sat in History watching as Will droned on and on about a topic I wasn't paying attention to. I watched as we walked around the front of the room wearing tight black jeans that were slightly faded. His crisp white shirt tucked in. Today he wore a midnight blue tie that was slightly loose.

As if he could feel my gaze on him, his eyes flicked over to me. I turned the page of the book he was now reading through, he asked us to take notes but only a few of us do. As the siren rang disturbing me from my dreaming. I was packing my things away when Will asked me to stay.

I slowly made my way to his desk and stood before him. He crossed his arms over his chest "you weren't paying attention in class."

I shrugged "I have talked to you before, I am not interested in history and you talk too much."

He rolled his eyes dramatically "how do you think I could make the lessons anymore interesting? Do you want me to let you guys do what you like, should I teach directly from the textbooks or should I do it naked?"

I scoffed "I personally don't have an interest in history, it doesn't matter how you deliver the lessons it doesn't interest me."

He sat down on his chair with a huff, I leaned against his desk "I will make you a deal, if you can pay attention and get at least a B in this class I will let you make all the decisions for the lake trip." He tried to persuade me.

I thought it over for a long moment "I will agree to those terms as long as I have complete control."

He reluctantly nodded his head letting me leave. The rest of my day dragged on my last class of the day was English. I sat in my seat and I listened intensively as Mr Peters talked about an assignment we are doing. He asked that we write three pages at least on an alternate ending for Romeo and Juliet.

I raised my hand "when will this be due?"

Mr Peters was surprised "I would like it on my desk on the first day next semester, it gives you five weeks to write it, you don't need to use the exact same language as the one used in the story but I don't want you to change the majority of the plot. Now use your time to start planning."

I took out a spare sheet starting to plot down my ideas, Mr Peters walked around the room taking in others idea maps. Finally, he stopped at me. He pulled the sheet away from me reading my list of ideas. He pointed to the last one "they fake their death and run away together. I like the sound of that one."

I nodded my head "I like the idea of them both also continuing on their path and continuing the story of their parents. I guess I will see what one I prefer when the due date arrives."

He left me there without another word. We spent the remaining twenty minutes planing and occasionally chatting but I was busy daydreaming about the weekend. As the day ended I remained in my seat waiting as everyone else piled out. I got off my chair pulling my bag onto my shoulder "see how I paid attention then, I can do it again tomorrow. I just wanted to give you a preview."

He hid his dimples smile behind his clasped hands "a preview? I always see how great you are in English. Have you thought about pursuing English at university?"

I shrugged "I don't know what I want to do with my life. I am not even sure if I want to go to uni straight away I have been thinking about taking a gap year. Have you got plans for after work?"

He nodded his head "yeah, tonight I have dinner plans."

I was shocked "do you have a date?"

He nodded not meeting my eyes "yeah, I met her months ago. I have been cancelling so much I finally agreed to dinner. Have you got plans tonight?"

I nodded walking over to the door, I glanced over my shoulder at him "I have work, that's the exciting end to my day. See you tomorrow Mr Peters." As I left his classroom I closed the door. It was a quiet walk down the hallways back to my aunts' house. My mind rushed with this newfound information. He has a date tonight, I thought something was happening between us. After this weekend and the time we spent at the lake.

I went straight from school to the bar and started to set up for tonight. I shoved my school things in my locker and made my way out front. Brian has put me on waitressing, to begin with, and then help behind the bar in peak. I cleaned all the tables and then helped with wiping down the bar before we opened. I smiled at Patty before my night got busy. Our usuals piled in first and then people milled about. I jumped behind the bar at ten helping Patty.

I was making a Virgin Manhattan when he sat at the bar. I glanced over my shoulder but I ignored him letting Patty fulfil his order. Once I was done I started to dry the dish that had just been put through a cycle. He watched every move I made "how was your night?"

I still didn't look at him "the usual, you?"

I took a sip of his whiskey on ice "boring. The girl I was going out with she was a business associate of my fathers, he had set me up. To be honest I am not surprised in the slightest. I was glad what the night was over."

I scoffed "I'm surprised you didn't go straight to your place if it was so bad."

He finished his drink "I thought about it but then I remembered you tell me you were working so I decided to pop in."
