Loving Will

Chapter 29

I sat on my chair as the names were called in order by surname. Mine surname was near the end which meant I had to wait so long. When my row was called up to stand to receive our certificate I glanced on stage to see Will already looking at me. I smiled at him reassuringly before winking. I slowly walked up the stairs to shake the principal's hand. He read out what I had written a week before "Carley Phelps has worked persistently hard this year achieving all goals set by their teachers. Next year Carley will be attending Alex Stevens University that is located one and a half hours away from here. Carley will study nursing and art."

I shook his hand grabbing my certificate before scurrying off the stage to sit down. We continued this ceremony for another hour because the official announced us the graduating class. I glanced over my shoulder to Aunt Sarah, next to her were Rebecca and Wills' grandparents. I rushed over to them hugging my aunt first. I moved onto Tiger and Lolita they both hugged me before I moved onto Rebecca, she swayed us side to side as we hugged "gosh, I missed you. You and Will don't call nearly enough."

I laughed "we have been really busy, a lot has been going on with us lately. Thank you all for coming today, it really means a lot to me."

We were all later meeting for dinner in the town over. I went home with my aunt packing another bag of clothes as I got into a fresh dress. That I hadn't been sitting nervously all day in.

When I got downstairs my aunt was there waiting with her bag and keys in hand. I dragged my bag along with me for the weekend. It was an hours drive from my aunts' house. We arrived there before anyone else, it was a cold wait out the front but Tiger, Lolita and Rebecca were quick to get there. They ushered us in claiming the cold was bad for their bones.

Will came twenty minutes later flushed from rushing around. He hugged me before kissing my temple "sorry for taking too long."

We sat in a comfortable silence until Rebecca started questioning us to what we have been up to. Aunt Sarah spoke before either of us could "they have been inseparable since they got back together after their break."

Rebecca gasped catching the attention of the table over "you guys broke up?"

I shook my head "no, we took a break to clear a few things up. It didn't last long before we reunited. I promise we are all right."

Rebecca nodded "I can't believe you didn't tell us about it."

Will pinched the bridge if his nose, something I have noticed he does when feeling dark emotions. He sighed in frustration "I couldn't have mum and dad knowing, they would pick our relationship apart."

Dinner was almost silent after that. Will paid the tables bill before we all walked outside. I grabbed my bag from my aunts' car sitting it in Will's. I hugged Wills' grandparents first thanking them for coming for telling them I would see them tomorrow. Rebecca came skipping over to me "see you tomorrow, it's going to be fantastic. I have lots of low key things planned."

We all waved them off, I turned to Aunt Sarah "I will see you in a few days time. I love you."

Aunt Sarah shook her head "come home when you want to. If you want to stay with Will don't come home because you think I will be lonely. I will be fine. Come home when you are sick of him."

I smiled "I love you."

Will opened my door for me helping me in. On the drive back his hand remained on my thigh as he concentrated to his surrounding "it was a great day not so secret boyfriend."

He laughed squeezing my thigh "not so secret boyfriend. I like the sound of that. I say we give it a month and then we can date publicly."

I nodded "secret boyfriend for one last month than."

I sat my bag by the door and followed Will to the bedroom. He stripped down to his boxers getting straight into bed. I got out of my shoes taking off my dress, I found my shirt from the other day slipping it on to sleep. I knew we would need to get up early to go to Wills' parents' place. Will pulled me into his arm "you are going to uni near everyone. Close to my family and yours. Are you sure that's what you want to do?"

I nodded "I didn't plan to go there but I got a partial scholarship. It would be less stress on me and Aunt Sarah."

Will kissed my forehead "I would help pay off your school fees."

I scoffed "what about yours?"

He laughed "they are all paid off, mum and dad took care of mine. My family comes from old money."

I rolled my eyes "I'm not surprised but I don't want you to be my money bag. You are my boyfriend. In uni, I will get a job and pay my own way or at least contribute to everything."

Will nodded "good, so that means I can ask you the question I have wanted to for weeks. Carley Phelps, will you move in with me. This house or a house close to your uni. I can teach at any location."

I wrapped my arms around him "let's keep this place but rent it out. Then you make some money and this place isn't left sitting. I want to move in with you but I can't let you part with this apartment, we have so many memories here."

Will chuckled more to himself "we have so many good memories here, hopefully, we have many more to make."
