JHENE

It's now been year since Zuko and I started dating.

Yes, I gave him that chance and even Ntate approves of him.

Tonight, he's meeting the kids. I feel like it's only right he does, seeing how much I'm fond of him.

They're a little precocious so I hope they won't over tell.

I know Ntate will know every detail once we go back home tomorrow but for now, I'm hoping they'll at least like him.

They're 7 now and I can't believe they've grown to be this big.

I don't think I'll ever regain my memory and I'm somehow grateful I won't. I've made great memories with my loved ones and I'm happy with that.

I'm happy with my basic life, in the village and away from the city lights and their business.

I'm a new person and God has been merciful, graceful and loving to me.

My sister and I are more closer than ever. She comes home more and Ntate is also happy.

Orateng: "Mom, can we have some nuggets? "

Me: "You want to eat first? "

Olorato: "Please mommy and milkshakes. "

We go to MacDonalds since it's what they want. I always want to see them happy, it makes me happy.

Zuko calls me when we're still in the taxi to town.

Me: "Hey "

Zuko: "Baby, are you close? "

Me: "We're on our way but the kids want to eat first "

Zuko: "MacDonalds? "

Me: "Yep "

They love it and I love their fries.

We walk to MacD after we get off the taxi.

It's Friday, around 5pm.

We stand in line, there are about four people in front of us.

"Tshidi? "

Someone says behind me and I look from the this guy to the boy who's hand he's holding and lastly, the woman who's by his side.

Me: "Do I know you? "

Him: "It's... It's really you "

Me: "Who are you? "

.

SIYA

She doesn't recognise me. It's been seven years and she doesn't.

Fuck, I can't believe it's been so long.

I'd even forgot about her. Sbu let's go of my hand but I'm oblivious to everything else.

I feel the love resurface and I chuckle. I can't believe this.
