As Nellie was telling Darry where to go, Dally spoke up. "Damn kid, I didn't think you girls had fire." He said. "No shit Sherlock, y'know what? Shut the fuck up, we do too have fire, we just don't like to get to that point. If anything, I would hurt anyone for you guys, but we have to keep y'all safe, there are a lot of people who know you guys from.. somewhere." I said. "From where?" Two-bit asked. "F-from a book. Not just any book, a book that Ponyboy wrote." Nellie said pointing at Ponyboy. All the girls nod. "Wait what?! So what happens in the book?" Steve asked. "Let just say.. it takes a dark turn." I said, with my eyes watery. Just thinking of Dally and Johnny dying.. hurts a lot.

We pulled into Nellies driveway and got out, we knocked on the door and her mother and father came out and hugged us, thanked the boys, and brought us inside to eat dinner. When we finished dinner, we all went to Nellies bedroom. "I don't know how we're going to get jobs, and what are these things?" Darry said pointing at my phone, since I was on it. "Oh that? Yeah, that's a phone." Luna said. "What's a phone, man?" Dally asked. "Well, a phone is like the telephone y'all have at home, except, this doesn't have wire hanging out from it, and, it has touch screen." I said. The boys were in awe when I taught them how to use a phone. Dally took my phone and started taking pictures with Johnny and Two-bit. Ponyboy walked up to Nellie. "So uh, do you have the book on you guys?" He asked. Nellie took it out from her shelf as the boys began to sit on the floor, and she began to read the first couple of pages. Darry slapped Ponys neck. "What the hell were you thinking going to the movies by yourself, kid brother?" He asked, pissed. "Hey, hey, hey! Darry calm down now, he hasn't actually done it yet since he's here. And besides, do you hear how mean you sound in this book?" Soda said. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry Pone." Darry said, giving Ponyboy a noogie. Johnny scooted close to me and put an arm around me. "So, I was wondering, since we're, ya know, we're in 2020, how bout we go on a date, 55 years into the future?" He chuckled at the last part. "Of course Johnnycakes!" I said and kissed him on his cheek.

TIME SKIP..

After I had my AirPods in, I got rudely irrupted by Soda. "Did you not hear me?" He asked.

"Uhhhh.... yes.?" I said, well, actually asked.

He sighed. "I said, 'when are we gonna go shopping for new clothes'? We need new clothes, Lexi." Soda said.

"Yeah, and hair grease too!" Pony said. "Well there is no hair grease in 2020, Ponyboy." I said.

Everyone went silent, Two-bit spoke up. "W-what do you mean there's no hair grease?" He asked. "I mean what I said Keith." I snapped, and I thought 2000' boys were hard to dress. "Eh oh well, I don't use it all the time." Dally said.

"Oh the agony." Darry said sarcastically and slapped the back of his two kid brothers' head. I mean brothers. Damn, their slang is getting affective on me.

"Y'all will be fine, Nellie has hair gel here for me when I spend the night, I do my edges." I said giggling at the end. Johnny blushed. "What the hell is hair gel?" Darry asked. "I know what it is, my mom puts that shit in my kid sisters hair to keep her baby hairs from standing up when it's in a ponytail." Two-bit said. "What the fuck are edges, man?" Dally asked. "Nothin' you needa worry about, man, now come here." I demanded. I took his longish-shortish, blonde-almost white hair, and began to braid it. He kept trying to shoo away my hands, but he eventually gave in. He looked pretty when I finished, I tied it up in a pretty bow, he rolled his eyes, and Nellie and Luna began to giggle while blushing. "Let's play a board game!" Two-bit whined. "How bout 'The Game Of Life'?" I asked.

AFTER A WHILE OF PLAYING "The Game Of Life"...

"Alrighty ladies and gents, let's go to the mall!" I yelled while getting up. The girls and Soda were hollering, Dally was smirking probably thinking about a new leather jacket, while the rest of the boys groaned. My eyes were staring at Johnny. Johnny hasn't been anywhere. Just like in the book, the only place he's been that's away from their neighborhood, was gonna be Windrixville. It was sad really, but we were going to the best mall out of town that we knew about, the North East Mall..
