Chapter 17: War Part 1: Ignition

Radrair's POV

It was dark, it started to rain and streaks of lightning covered the sky with anger. Dead bodies lie everywhere. "Ausar! You can't win give up." I said. He gave a devilish smile, "I hated you the least. Join me while you still have a chance." I held my sword tightly and went into position. Ausar shed a tear and ran to me, I jumped back as he missed the stab.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked. "Humans no longer have the right to live, they must pay for their sins." He replied. I ran in a did a vertical slash, "Your wrong!" He blocked. We both jumped back. He closed his eyes, "Only one of us will leave here alive!" Black flames engulfed his body. We both ran to each other. We both went in for the stab, "AHHHH" we pieced each other's heart. My eyes then opened. The sun was shining. I got up, it appears it was just a dream. I was in the secret home that belong to Armeties. It had defense systems, high class living room and bedrooms. Aswell as a secret base underneath. Armeties was missing....so I went to look for him.

Just then I heard a knock on the door. I was skeptical of opening it as I was unaware of what was on the other side. I grabbed my sword and looked through the see-through hole. There was nobody there. I opened the door, and looked everywhere but no one was there....just the trees. I then felt a hand rest on my shoulders, "Radrair..." I heard a faint voice behind me. I turned back and it was Ausar. He then fainted in my arms, as black flames rolled off from his ring finger.

"What the hell?" I said as I rested him on the sofa. His black, gold lined armor seemed to be severely damaged. Armeties then opened the door, "Radrair? Oh my.." He exclaimed. "He just sort of appeared...I don't know how. He doesn't look in terrible shape just needs some rest and bandages." I said. Armeties nodded, "Im going to go upgrade our weapons, we're leaving very soon." "Leaving? Where are we going then?" I asked. "Medious." "Why there?" "I've made contact with their president, we are going to war it seems. So pack your backs." Without any questions or hesitation, I ran collecting my possessions, this was going to be a long day.

Ausar's POV
When I came to, I saw a face hovering over me, a beautiful one at that, "Morning sleepy head." Isa said. I yawned as I sat up in pain, "Hey, so...you really are one of us." I replied. She sat beside me, "Yeah I guess I am." I instantly had flashbacks of the night before, "Im....sorry about what happened with your dad; I shouldn't have killed him."

Tears flowed down her eyes with a slight smile. She put her hand on mine, "Don't be sorry, he had it coming a long time." She replied. I wiped her face. "You love birds ready to get going or what?!" Radrair exclaimed as he walked into the room. "Go? Go where" I asked. Armeties then walked in, "I'll explain on the way." He said. I got up but my arm seemed to hurt. I put a sling on it and took a pain killer.

We got all our stuff and we were off to Medious. We spent several hours walking, "You know, I've been working up a plan to build this new teleportation device. It would make life so much easier." He said. I nodded. Radrair was behind me as he grabbed my arm. I turned back. I just wanted to tell you, I'm sorry for acting stupid and getting you killed. I....I don't even know how to make up for such a debt." A tear went down his face.

"You were trying to save some one dear. Someone close to you, someone you thought you had lost forever. I forgive you." I extended my hand. He grabbed it, "brothers?" He asked. "Brothers" I replied. We then kept on walking.
2hrs later

We were in the boardroom of the government officials. President Chair was in the seat at the end of the table, followed by officials and representatives of other lands such as my home, Koith. The president clapped his hands, everyone stopped. "We all know why we are here. The deathless have surely been up our but holes and killing countless of us humans.

The crisis, the phenomenon, that caused this era in human history to occur no longer matters. What matters is that we kill every last one of those sonuva bitches."

"But sir...thats the thing. They're deathless, no matter how many times we kill them, they come back and kill us. They are better in every way and have immortality on their side. This is a battle we won't win." One official said.

"I understand this for a fact. However, Armeties here has discovered a way to bypassed this, "immortality" factor. Doctor if you please."

Armeties stood and looked very nervous, "What makes the deathless deathless? It's there Q.I.P. That's what allows them to keep on resurrecting. However, if we can negate this special skill, they can be granted a true death."

"How can this be possible?" The representative of Koith asked. "With my new weapon prototypes. My first blade, called the Infinity Blade is the most powerful. If you stab a member of the deathless, the weapon will automatically activate and cancel out their Q.I.P in their DNA. They will truly die."

He sat back down, "Preaident Chair, I've heard that some deathless use some power called the vi, the vil" "The Vile." I interrupted. Every one looked at me. I took a deep breath and stood. "And how would you know that?" The president asked. "Becuase I possess it, I once was it but for no longer." They were shocked, and scared at the same time.

"Your deathless?" A guard in the room asked. I nodded. They gasped as they moved away from me, "I chose to fight on this side, not to help you but to make the battle and this world even. I chose to be here, I probably could be a general of my ow army right about now. Trust me." The guards put their weapons down and I sat back down.

Chair coughed, "Our first objective is to defeat Zarlax and his army, that's one of the groups guarding the core of these monsters. "Ausar already killed him." Isa admitted. "What?!" The official of Zanioz exclaimed. "How would you know that?" The official of Kioth exclaimed. "I was his daughter, I watched." "It's true" Armeties replied.

"You guys are like a mini army, you don't need us." The guard said jokingly. "It would be best if we devote troops equally to the west and north territories." The official of Koith said. "Agreed, Armeties how fast can you mass produce those weapons of yours?" The president asked. "Some time. I assume a few months. However, I can make a few for atleast 5 troops in each army, not counting my team." He said. The president had a tense look on his face, "Undersrood, we'll release troops on the west side tomorrow at 0500. Be ready, any questions or objections?" No one answered, "Then we are all in agreement, you are dismissed." We all got up and eventually left."

I walked out the boardroom down the hallway. People looked at me with fear, I ignored them all. Then out of nowhere I got shoved into the wall. A man taller then me, about 6,6 stared at me. "I hate deathless" he yelled. "Look I don't want any trouble" I said as a walked away. He then shoved me into the wall again. I got angry and clenched my teeth and fist.

Bits of black purplish aura ran down my hands, "I'll make you beg for mercy!" I mumbled. Then Radrair stepped in and blocked me, "Ausar, we're ready lets go!" He said. "What's this your boyfriend is standing up for you?" The aura ceased and I walked away. We met up with Isa and the others, "This is it guys. This...is

War."

In a castle, Deathless territory.
Narrator POV
A scout runs into the man room sweating,
"Sir, it's been reported that Zarlax has been killed!"

"I know that. But what I want to know is who?"

"A boy....named Ausar."
"Ausar? Could it be the Ausar that is in the book of prophesies?"
"It could be"
"Hmm....This could get interesting. Can he manipulate the Vile?"
"It appears so. He is currently residing with the human alliances, they are planing for an attack on us. But they won't win right your majesty?"
"Get the troops prepare for an all out assault. But wait for my signal to attack, let's allow them to think the element of surprise."
"But sir, they can't win you know that. Let's just pursue them right away."
"Do you defy my orders?"
"Well sir but, AHH"
*Stabs him in the chest*
"You over there, what is your name?"
"Thane...sir!"
"Until he learns his lesson, you shall be my scout...understand?"
"Yes your majesty."
*walks out*
"Hmm...Ausar, it seems like your a bigger clock piece then you've ever imagined."
