Infinity Blade: Legends

Chapter 12: Infinity......

Half a day has past and we arrived at Armeteis' house. It wasn't big but it wasn't small either, "There it is......" Joseph said. "Ahhhhhh" I replied. I was exhausted from all the walking, but it's the right thing to do.

We knocked on the door. The third time we knocked the door broke down. I was shocked, "Did we knock that hard?" I asked. "No........the door is just surprisingly weak." He said. We both stepped in avoiding the door. We looked around and it was a complete mess.

There were dishes on the floor clothes everywhere and I could swear I saw a dead body. "What's your brother been up to?" I asked. "I really don't know. He told me lots about Ausar and yourself, but then he just stopped sending me letters." He replied.

"Hmmm" I murmured as I examined the walls. We left the living room and went into the dinning room. "He's obviously not here." Joseph said. I turned around and looked at him, "Or is he?" I said. We saw images on the wall in the kitchen. They looked like hieroglyphics. I then put my hand on the wall touching them.

Suddenly I felt a rush of energy. I felt something like a weird force below us. I then saw images flash through my head if blades clashing and what seemed like the mark of Infinity. "Radrair, what's wrong?!" Joseph asked. "I can't explain its just so much!" I said. I quickly fell to my knees as I discovered pain unimaginable. Within seconds it faded away.

I regained vision and got up, "Im okay......" I said. I then pressed the wall again and suddenly light flashed and the wall began to disintegrate. It formed what looked like a portal. We both hesitantly stepped in. We arrived at the other side. We were in a big palace with fancy yet futuristic designs. Energy flowed through the place. I could feel it and also see it through the walls.

We walked through the long hall. We came to to end in about 5 minutes. We saw another room with a large flat screen, lots of computers, and many weapons. "Who are you? Identify yourselves." We turned around and a muscular figure dressed in black and gold armor with a carved out face on the face mask. The figure was also wearing a black hood to prevent any further recognizing. Joseph stepped forward, "Armeteis.....it's me, Joseph." The figure stepped forward and removed his hood. He then took off his face mask. His face looked like he'd been beat up a lot.

He had a cut running through his eye and part of his cheek black and blue. "Brother.....is it really you?" The man asked. "Yes.....yes it is." He then looked at me, "Hello.....Radrair. You look much stronger than you did in the past. Practically a young man now." He said.

"Yeah it's been a while. What have you been doing?" I asked. He looked at the sword on the desk, "I've been working on a project. "Remember those blue prints Ausar and I got 5 years? Where is he anyway?" He asked. "He.......died some time ago. He sacrificed himself for me and my sister." I said, holding back my tears.

I looked at Armeteis face, he to looked like he was fighting the urge to cry. "Well that's.......I'm so sorry.....Ausar....was a good friend." He said. "Okay so what's with this sword and why all the Infinity marks?0 Joseph asked trying to change the topic.

We both looked at him, "Ah yes. The deathless blue prints I found 5 years ago. I've been trying to make a sword that can kill deathless." He said. I looked at him with a confused expression, "How is that possible? The name pretty much sums it up." I said. "Come with me." He said as he led us to his computer. He activated it and showed us some graphs, pictures, and other things.

"What's all this?" Joseph asked. "This is the proof," Armeteis started, "that deathless can actually be killed. You see i have traveled around the world searching for answers and also taking some deathless blood. I realized that the answer has been that very thing al along. You see....the deathless have a special gift, immortality. However the reason they have it isn't mystical or because of gems, it's because of their Q.I.P." He said.

"Q.I.P? What's that?" I asked. "Quantum Identity Pattern. This is found in only deathless, in there genetics are particles. Special particles that allow them to regenerate cells and possibly manipulate other particles as well, thus repairing the body.

So basically deathless never die, they just heal incredibly fast, only at the point of death that is." He said. "Wow....that's amazing." I said. "Now, through their blood I found away to temporarily disable their Q.I.P's in order to grant them a true death." He pointed to a unique sword on the table," That sword.....has that power. I've also have many other prototypes such as guns, knives, and axes. The only downside is that once you've successfully disable someone's, Q.I.P you can ony use it for 10 minutes. After that it may take 20 minutes to recharge. While it recharges your only limited to regular attacks." He said.

"Wow! Brother....you've truly been busy." Joseph said. "Yes indeed." He replied. "So......we can use these to defeat the deathless?" I asked. "Yes but as you know, only to a certain extreme." He said in return.

I then felt a sense of courage and a little sense of happiness as well. Finally we could get back at the deathless for everything they've everything done to mankind. Even though I'm one of them. This can change the world and everything thing else. "I call these weapons Infinity blades, and this special blade, the INFINITY BLADE." He said. I grabbed duel blades from the inventory. "Nice pick Radrair." Joseph said. I also grabbed a shield just case I needed to switch.

"So what's our move?" I asked. " Well I just finished these weapons. And you just got here. My brother and you should go get some rest and I'll work the kinks out of these blades." "Okay." I said. Suddenly a red flash came across the computer. "What the hell is that?" I asked. "It's an intruder!" He said. Then the computer showed the camera footage. 3 figures were entering through the portal that I forgot to close.

"Are they friendly?" Joseph asked. "Hmmm....these scanners show them to be deathless, this isn't good." Armeteis said. We then ran to where they were. The 3 came running down the hall and met us 3. "Go back to where you came from." I said. They then ran toward us. The tallest and strongest one came for me and went in for the stab. I used a parry and then jumped back.

His blade was powerful almost as strong as mine. He kept slicing at me. I dodged all the attacks and punched him in the stomach. I then stabbed his right thigh and pushed it all the way in. I then kneed him to the ground and took the blade out his side and killed him.

I then turned around and saw another one kick me in the face and I went flying back. The next thing you know he was on top of me ready to stab me. I quickly grabbed the blade by the 2 sides. I was struggling. Then a blade pieces through his chest and its tip touched my stomach. It was Armeteis' blade and he just saved me.

He helped me up and we noticed Joseph trying to fight one of them but not having so much success. We then ran to him and punched the guy in the face together. He fell down unconscious. I stepped over him ready to pierce my blade into his chest, "Wait Radrair! Don't do it." I then put my blade down and tied the guy up. We soon after burned the bodies and shut the portal as well. 1 hour later he came to, "Why did you come here?" I asked.

He laughed psychotically, "We know you have those weapons that can, KILL us.....we came here." He kept laughing and it kinda creeped me out. I punched him i the face, "Stop laughing!" It was no use, "What for?" Armeteis asked. "Isn't the answer obvious?" He said as he kept laughing. "What the hell, you'll find out.......just know we know everything about you......including Ausar and we will kill every last one of you!" He said as he merely disintegrated into thin air. Yet the laugh, had only faded slowly from our ears. "What did he mean?" Joseph asked. Armeteis had a sense of terror on his face, "This is bad! We need to go now!" He said as he typed codes into his computers.

"They're coming.....their coming here!"
