Tita Maya slowly opened one of the guest room doors. To her surprise, though, no one was there.
"Hmm, baka na sa ibang kwarto siya," she mumbled to herself as she then went to check the other rooms, a blanket tucked between her hands.
Despite checking all of the extra rooms, she was shocked to see he was in none of them.
"Hmm, baka gising pa sila ni Nadine," she said to herself as she then walked over to Nadine's room. Knocking, she waited half a minute to see if anyone would reply. "James, Nadine," she called out. When they didn't reply, she then slowly opened the door.
A gasp escaped her throat as her blanket fell out of her hand in shock due to what she saw.
Both were sleeping on Nadine's bed. Though the blanket was covering them, she could make out that James had his hands wrapped around Nadine while they faced each other.
Picking up the blanket, she slowly closed the door.
A smile spread across her face as she began to make her way back downstairs. "Ang layo ng narating nila no?"
--
Nadine let out a yawn as she woke up the next morning. Stretching her arms out, she let out a quick gasp as she felt herself make contact with something--or rather--someone.
"Bakit palagi 'to nangyayari," she grumbled as she looked at James, who had only slightly shifted in his sleep at the feel of her arm.
Once again, she had awoken with his arms around her. Though she had put a pillow in between them, she somehow had rolled over over it and, like before, James ended up wrapping his arm around her body while their faces were only a few inches.
"Sa totoo lang, if this happens again, pakiramdam ko sinasadya mo na 'to," she whispered to herself as she brought her hand to his hair, slighting wisping some strands away from his face. The motion tickled him a bit in his sleep, causing Nadine to smile as her hand went to his cheek.
"Dapat galit pa rin ako sayo," she muttered. "Pero namiss rin kita, kahit 3 days lang hindi tayo naguusap," she said to herself as she began to caress his cheeks.
He looked very at peace in his sleep, which was why Nadine couldn't really get her eyes off of him as she began to trace over his features. From his forehead, to his eyebrows, to his nose, and down to his lips.
"Ang ganda ng lip shape mo, parang hindi fair," she complained as she found herself moving her finger downward and tracing over the edges.
His lips were in the shape of a cupid's bow and were, what she thought was a perfect pink shade. They were fairly pump and always seemed like it was covered in gloss - though she knew they were naturally just like that.
A thought crossed her mind for a mere millisecond as she found herself somewhat entranced by his lips.
I wonder how it feels
She found herself shivering as the sudden thought threw her off guard, causing her to accidentally lightly slap his chin.
The sudden motion caused him to finally wake up.
Nadine immediately withdrew her hand.
James averted his eyes downward as he realized what position they were in.
"How did this happen again?" he asked as he withdrew his arms around her.
Nadine rolled her eyes. "Malay ko, you're the one who keeps grabbing me."
"It's a habit, hindi ko sinasadya. I sometimes just end up grabbing a pillow on the side of me," James explained.
"So akala mo pillow ako?"
