Nadine let out a yawn as sat up and stretched her arms out.
Glancing towards her alarm clock, she noticed it was 4 A.M.
As she grew increasingly more awake, she then realized there was no one to the side of her.
"Teka, nasaan si James?" she said aloud.
She moved her blankets off and crawled to the end of her bed to find him sleeping on the floor, hugging the foot of her bed.
Ako dapat yun, Nadine abruptly thought. "Oh my god...anyare sakin, bakit naseselos ako sa kama ko," she muttered, smacking her forehead.
Her eyes then widened as she realized she still had her make-up on.
She jumped out of the bed, careful not to step on James, and ran to her bathroom to take off her make-up.
Turning on the lights, she noticed her eyes were slightly puffy as well from also crying.
But she didn't mind, though, as she grabbed her make-up wipes and began to wipe off her make-up.
She was happy to have been there to comfort him for once - at least she hope she had. There were probably more questions and still a lot of talking that needed to be done, but she almost felt...satisfied in a sense that she got through to him more than ever.
"Pero sana magiging okay na siya," she mumbled as she then moved her hair to the back.
It was then that her eyes widened as she stared at the batch of red marks around her neck and collarbone.
"Oh my god ang dami," she blurted out, her cheeks suddenly blushing red as what happened in the car began to replay in her mind.
After washing her face one last time she brought her hair back to the front in an attempt to mask it the best she could, though it was still visible despite her efforts.
She turned off her lights and walked out, pulling off her dress and tossing it into a bin before going into her closet and putting on a short sleeved, silk blue dress that went a little below her knee.
She bent to where James laying down and she couldn't help but crack a smile at how funny he looked hugging the pole that kept her bed up.
Giggling to herself, she placed her hand against his face, wiping away some strands of hair.
He looked so peaceful when he asleep.
Without any of the troubles that usually seemed to hang over him - the reasons why he always kept up that wall.
"James, gumising ka na," she said as she moved her hand to his shoulder and began to shake him.
He stirred a bit as he let go of the pole.
"Tumulog ka sa kama ko, wag sa floor," she urged, raising her voice as she shook him a bit harder.
Nadine let out a sigh as she placed one arm under his shoulders while the other held his head as she attempted to lift him up.
She had gotten him to a sitting up position, though anything more was harder.
Nadine pouted. "Gumising ka na please, James, tulongan mo naman ako dito," she whined.
James' eyes fluttered open immediately. "Huh?" he let out, adjusting his position so he was sitting more upright without the need for her support.
Nadine let out a chuckle as she laid her head on his shoulder.
"So yan lang pala ang magpapagising sayo," she joked.
Reluctantly, he brought his hand to her head and caressed it.
