A/N: Featuring a VERY special guest in this chapter

--

A man smiled as he set two plates of tapsilog on a wooden table. He then turned around and grabbed a pitcher of orange juice and poured it into two empty glass cups.

Just as he finished setting up, a girl with short hair and glasses walked into the kitchen.

"Morning," he greeted.

The girl smiled as their eyes met. In noticing the breakfast set up, her smile deepened as she then walked up to her boyfriend and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"This looks so good," she complimented, taking a seat as she immediately reached to take a bite.

"I wasn't gonna let you go to work on an empty stomach," Her boyfriend remarked as he sat next to her.

"I just realized this will be the last time we'll be seeing each other for the week because of your shoot," she said, pausing for a moment to finish swallowing her food.

"Don't remind me, I miss you already," he replied, turning his lips into a pout.

"Ang corny mo," she teased, lighting hitting his shoulder.

He only chuckled in response before reaching for his television remote to see what was going on in the world.

"We're live in Makati where authorities found Callie Bautista's body hanging from in her own condo."

The girl nearly choked as she then turned around what the report was on.

"Callie Bautista? I know her mom, Herissa, we worked together on a movie before," The man commented as his eyes suddenly became glued to the television set.

"An investigation is still in the process, but suicide is the most likely possibility given her history. A sex tape featuring her was leaked nearly a year ago and according to sources she had to undergo therapy--"

The girl immediately grabbed the remote and shut the television off. She clenched her fist tighter around it as she clenched her teeth in anger over what she had heard.

"How...insensitive to report a speculation pertaining to such a sensitive topic on national television without any basis to what happened," she vented.

She suddenly stood up and began to stomp towards the door.

"Jaycee," The man with her called out, placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Dean, I need to go to work. I swear if our station reports the news the same way--" Jaycee paused for a moment as she found herself shaking out of sheer anger. "It's not even relevant to bring up! A girl died and they're bringing up her sex scandal? As if that defines her whole life?"

Dean placed his hands on her back and caressed it in an effort to comfort her as well as silently show his support. Jaycee prided herself on being an honorable journalist and when she saw news outlets carelessly report information, especially on sensitive matters, it angered her.

"You're right, that was so insensitive," said Dean. "And I know you want to take matters into your own hands to make sure your station won't do the same. But, babe, you still have time before you need to be there. Give yourself time before you dive into this. I know you're going to put your all into fixing this so I want to make sure you have the proper energy to do this."
