Kace rushed back to the chair in the back office Roach sent him to wait in. He didn't want to get caught eavesdropping. He didn't understand why Mayah was being allowed back to school after what happened. Hearing the door open, he stood up. "Roach man, why'd I have to come in here?" Annoyed that Roach preferred to listen to an outsider than one of their own crew.

"Kace, you had no business yelling during the meeting." he said calmly taking a seat at his desk.

Not wanting to let on that he already knew that Mayah would be going back to school, he decided to change the subject. "So, that mafia prick... he gotta thing for Mayah?" he asked sitting across from Roach. "He seemed pretty into her when I walked in" he said recalling the image of Adriano touching Mayah's face. Testing an already annoyed Roach, he decided to continue expressing his disgust with Adriano's interest in Mayah. "A mafia man dating the Devil's daughter is gonna cause issues."

"He's not dating her" Roach said dryly. "I made that clear to him when you followed Mayah out of the room." He could see Adriano's interest in Mayah.

Content with Roach's response, he decided to express his interest in Mayah. "I know you told me when I first met her that she was off limits" he began. "I'm going to be honest and tell you that I like her." Kace knew that he had a better chance dating Mayah if Roach gave his blessing. Waiting for Roach to respond to his confession, he cleared his throat.

"I knew you liked her the day you laid your eyes on her." Roach pulled out two cups and a bottle of whiskey, pouring a glass for each of them. He noticed Kace's attraction to her but had hoped it was just because he hadn't been able to look at another woman because was locked up. "The problem Kace is you don't have the best track record." Pulling out a file from his desk, he handed it to Kace. "You don't think before you act and you have proven you can't follow orders."

Kace shifted in his seat. He knew Roach was referring to the lead that he was sent to follow regarding Krista's disappearance. Roach had sent Kace to another clubs territory that supposedly had information about a rash of missing girls. When he arrived, he had instructions to contact Stitch and Doc with an update never did. Instead, he decided to go out and party. That same night, Stitch received a call that Kace was picked up by the police for possession of narcotics while under the influence after starting a fight. Because of his connection to both the Devil's Angels, and his dad's club before he joined Roach, he was turned over to the FBI for additional questioning. It wasn't until the FBI showed him surveillance photos of him at the party he was attending did he see some of the missing girls at the same party.

"I know I screwed up," he began, "but I found out some information when I was locked up." He knew that he had a lot of work to do to make up for his mistakes.

"You attended the very party my daughter was at." Krista had been missing for almost six months when Kace got arrested. "She would be home right now if you had followed my orders. How the hell do you expect to date Mayah when you let Krista slip through your hands?" Roach downed the rest of his drink in one gulp. Even though he blamed Kace for missing the chance to grab her, he really blamed himself for Krista's disappearance. He had been warned of girls going missing...especially girls with ties to organizations such as the Devils Angels. The FBI came by almost a month before her disappearance trying to trade information

"Did you ask Mayah about Krista?" Kace asked. Kace and Roach had been meeting regularly since he was released to find a lead on Krista's whereabouts and it turned out that one of the pictures the feds showed to him during questioning showed Krista with Jackson. Kace didn't realize Jackson was one of the guys with Mayah when Roach found her until recently.

"Not yet, she just got home. I will ask her tomorrow," he added.

Kace finished his drink. He was determined to let Roach know know he was serious about making up for what he's done and trying to earn his trust back. Deciding it would be in his best interest to call it a night, he decided he was going to go home and start his road to redemption tomorrow. "I'm going to head home, see ya in the morning," he said heading for the door. He knew that their conversation probably wasn't anywhere near finished but he had pushed his luck enough for one day.

Making his way to his motorcycle, he peeled away from the building oblivious to two black SUV's parked right up the road. After driving for twenty minutes, Kace stopped for gas. Coming out from paying the cashier, he saw the two SUV's parked directly in front and behind his motorcycle blocking him in. Proceeding to walk past the Cadillac Escalade blocking him from the rear, he gave a glance to the driver and started filling the tank to his motorcycle and the driver and the passenger exited the vehicle. Once he proceeded to put the gas nozzle back, did the driver and passengers exit the Escalade to the front.

"You boys are gonna need to move your trucks," he said. "I've had a long day and I'm not in the mood for this shit," he spat.

"Our apologies" said the passenger from the front SUV. "We just needed some directions." he grinned.

"Directions, huh?" Kace responded. "To where? I suck at directions and you guys don't look lost,"

The blonde passenger from the front vehicle walked around to Kace and smiled. "You're right, we aren't lost but something of ours is...I think you can help us find it."

"I'll pass," Kace said cooly staking a step towards the blonde now blocking his path to his motorcycle.

"I wasn't asking." responded the passenger. "My employer's niece has gone missing...the building you left out of twenty minutes ago seems to be home base for the guys who took her. I don't remember you being present for that" he added looking Kace in the face. "My employer wants his property back"

Realizing he was talking about Mayah, Kace cleared his throat. "I'll be sure to pass on your request to the Devils Angels. Who should I say is asking?" he asked trying to maintain his composure. This is the guy he heard Mayah and Roach talking about the night she escaped.
"Jackson" he responded with a growl. Cracking his knuckles, he took a step towards Kace. "But I'm not requesting anything," he hissed. "I'm demanding." Without warning Jackson punched Kace in the face as the other me three men from the SUV's closed in.
Receiving punches and kicks from both drivers and front seat passengers of both vehicles, Kace began to lose consciousness.

"Enough," Jackson shouted. "I need him breathing so he can deliver Marco's message" he said bending down to him. "You are going to return her to me. If she isn't back in my possession, Marco will come for her to take her home."

Spitting out some blood from his beating, Kace responded with a smile, "she's a daughter of the Devils Angels now. She is home." he looked up at Jackson.

Jackson took out an envelope and dropped it next to Kace's badly beaten body. "Have Roach contact me. He might want to make a deal. Make sure he gets that," he said standing up. Motioning for his men to head back to their vehicles.

Watching the Escalades pull off, Kace grabbed the envelope Jackson left. So much for going home he thought getting back on his motorcycle. After starting his motorcycle, he put the envelope in his pocket and drove back to the Devils home base.
