Days and weeks had passed until it was time for Peter Parker's big time travel. This was it. He was getting his second chance that he had dreamed about since Gwen had died a year ago.

That morning Aunt May made him his favorite breakfast as they talked about the main event of the day. There was going to be a big ceremony where it would have Oscorp CEO Felicia Hardy presenting the time travel machine and Peter making a speech before shaking hands with important Oscorp people before jumping into the machine. He was wearing a collared shirt, shorts, and a tie with his backpack with his suit in it.

He and Aunt May were halfway out the door before she started crying."Aunt May, what's wrong?"

"It's just, we're so proud of you."

"We're?"

"Me, your parents, and your Uncle Ben. And Gwen too. She's very lucky to have someone like you that's willing to risk their life for her."

Peter hugged her."That's sweet, Aunt May, but I'm the one that's lucky to have her. She would've done the same for me. Now let's get moving or we're gonna be late."

It wasn't until they were halfway to Oscorp when Peter realized something. "Hey Aunt May."

"Yes, Peter?"

"I just realized something. If Gwen had never died, then that means this would have never happened."

"And what does that mean?"

"It means that since none of it ever happened, then that this part of our lives after Gwen's death will be erased. So no one will remember this, just me. It'll be like nothing ever happened." They were quiet for the rest of the car ride.

When they got out of the car after parking in their special reserved parking spot, they were immediately blinded by the paparazzi's giant cameras. Peter grabbed Aunt May and hurried quickly into the Oscorp building, where they were immediately greeted by Alistair Smythe.

"Ah, Mr. Parker! How nice to see you again! Let me escort you and your aunt to your seats. Ms. Hardy wants me to introduce you to her."

And with that, Smythe showed Aunt May to her seat in the front row before walking Peter to a short brunette in heels. "Mr. Parker, meet Felicia Hardy, our excellent Oscorp CEO. Ms. Hardy, meet Peter Parker, our..."

"I know who he is, Smythe." Felicia said in a slightly annoyed voice. She turned to Peter and smiled, her eyes reminding him of a cat's. "Very nice to finally meet you in person, Mr. Parker." She checked her watch before turning back to Smythe. "The ceremony is about to start soon. Please show Mr. Parker his seat." And with that, Felicia Hardy hurried off.

"Well you heard the boss, Mr. Parker. Let me show you to our seats."

"Our seats?"

"You, Ms. Hardy, and I have special reserved seats up on the stage."

"Why do I have a seat on the stage?"

"Because you are the main event, of course." He grinned at Peter. "Ceremony is about to start soon so we should better hurry." They took their seats and watched as Felicia Hardy took center stage. Two Oscorp employees followed carrying this giant, donut shaped thing that was covered by an equally sized tarp.

That must be the portal, thought Peter. Felicia described the machine while the crowd watched in awe.

Then it was Peter's turn to speak."Hello city of Queens. As all of you may know, my name is Peter Parker, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Oscorp has asked me to thank all the special people in my life, just in case the time travel machine fails and things go terribly wrong."

He paused as he heard several people in the crowd gasp. "Just kidding! Nothing bad to worry about. I would like to first thank my parents, Richard and Mary Parker, who are no longer with us, for bringing me into the world, and my aunt and uncle, Ben and May Parker, who raised me after my parents died, for getting me this far. Uncle Ben is no longer here as of two years ago. Another special person that I would like to thank my former girlfriend, Gwen Stacy, who is no longer here as of a year ago today, for making me the man I am today. I can't wait to see you again in a few hours. More special people I would like to thank are Felicia Hardy, Alistair Smythe, and the people at Oscorp for making this opportunity to save Gwen possible."

He paused. "One last person I would like to thank is Harry Osborn." Peter paused again to let the people gasp. "I would like to thank him for making this opportunity possible. Thank you all for your time."

He looked around to see Aunt May and the Stacy family crying. Slowly, one by one, people stood up from their chairs as they started to clap. Peter jumped down from the stage and hugged Aunt May before turning to Mrs. Stacy.

"I'll get her back. I promise."

"Don't make promises you can't keep, Peter."

He grinned. "But those are the best kind."

Peter went back up on to the stage and shook hands with the Oscorp officials before getting ready to go through the time portal. But right as he was about to, he turned and saw Gwen in the back of the room, clapping with a proud smile on her face. Peter blinked, and she was gone. Then he turned toward the portal.

"Till we meet again, Gwen." He murmured. And Peter jumped through.
