Thirty Nine

Hayes and the boys have been here for three days, we decided to extend their stay.

It was nice seeing them, but I don't think I can go back to LA with them. That's what Hayes and are arguing about right now.

"Why can't you come back with us? You can still finish school."

"Hayes I want to be with my Aunt."

"CC you can visit her!"

"You can visit me!" I yell back

"Well I don't want to visit, I want to see you everyday of my life! I want to hold you and call you mine! I want to protect you!"

"I don't need protecting, you cheated on me! I can be friends but I can't date you."

"CC." He says with a sigh "You changed me, you kept me from using people."

"And you turned me goth and then my heartbreak from you caused me to smoke and drink." He didn't say anything after that.

"CC, we can move on from that."

"No. We can't. I'm sorry Hayes but I'm staying here. It was nice of you to visit but I think you need to go back to LA soon." I explain calmly.

"Fine." He grunts and walks out of the room.

I fall onto my bed and groan into my pillow.

I felt someone sit on the bed, I tilt my head and see my Aunt smiling at me.

"Hey, I heard what happened."

"Yah so did China." I say sarcastically

"Do you want to go to LA? It's ok if you do I can handle being here alone, I did it for five years with the girls."

"No, it's not that. Hayes changed me in good and bad ways."

"I've seen."

"I just don't want to go back and change in a bad way."

"Then make sure you don't."

"Do you think I was thinking when I did it before?"

"No, now you do need to think."

"I don't want to go to LA, that's where Taylor always talked about moving to LA when he moved out. I can't do it."

"Ok, then don't. It's up to you. You can stay here and start fresh, or you can go back and continue to make memories with the boys that you love."

"Gosh why did you make that sound so imperative?"

She laughed a little and responded, "well we all have hard decisions in life." She quietly walked out of my room and into the kitchen. I fell back onto my bed and starred at the ceiling.

If I stay here I can have a clean slate with a real adult and take responsibility.

If I go with Hayes I can have amazing memories and possibly get back together with him.

If I stay here I could miss out on the small things in life.

If I go I could change for worse again and screw up.

"I don't think you would screw up." I look up and see Nash at my door.

"Was I thinking out loud?"

"Yah. So what do you want to do?"

"I don't know." I say.

"When it comes down you'll know." he leaves me alone with my thoughts again. Before he goes into the hall he leans back and tells me, "whatever you decide he'll understand, he'll be pissed at first, but he'll understand."

He had a point.

Why does this have to be so hard?

I have having a lot of fun but the book will be coming to a close soon!!! I'm so sorry but yes, all good things must come to an end.
