Ben's POV

Jay and I pulled up the rope as fast as we could, but time seemed to drag on. (Y/N) has never been the best with water, when she was four she fell into the enchanted lake and nearly drowned. Finally, Harry threw himself over the railing, (Y/N) in his arms, unmoving, like a wet sack of flour. Uma and Mal were immediately at (Y/N)'s side when Harry laid her on the deck. I could see the fear in Mal's eyes, she knew how I got when (Y/N) was even slightly hurt, it tore me apart.
"There's a way we can save her, Mal, do you have your spell book?" Uma asked

"Yes" Mal replied

"293, bottom of the page in pink writing" Mal flipped to the page in the book

"singing shells, bright and true, expel the water held in you" Ben, Jay, Mal, Harry, Uma, and the many onlookers watched as water bubbles out of (Y/N)'s mouth onto the deck. She then began to violently cough, as Harry helped her sit up. (Y/N) was very out of it, she kept blinking, and wasn't responding to anything we said. At some point someone had called an ambulance, and Harry carried (Y/N) to it.
"Mal, go with them, and protect her, please." Mal hugged me and Joined Harry.

Mal POV

I watched as Ben stood from where he had been kneeling, he wore a cold look, full of masked furry. He said something to Uma and Jay, then Uma gave orders to her crew, and followed Ben and Jay. I'm terrified Ben is going to do something he'll regret. He can so much, but when it comes to someone hurting (Y/N), he really does live up to the beast name.

Ben POV

I made it back to the castle fairly quick, Mum and Dad were already there, and they had been briefed. I walked fast, the others following behind me. I went to my office, shutting the doors after they had entered.

"Ben," Mum spoke gently," do not do something you will regret. You are a kin-"

"Quiet" I didn't mean for it to come out so sharply, but it did. I sighed and grabbed the phone book sitting on a shelf next to the desk, and flipped through it till I found the charming's number. I carefully dialed it, trying to control my anger. This is the moment that would define how everyone would see me as a king, and to prove myself to my parents. They picked up the phone.

"Hello?" He matched the voice to Prince Charming, Cinderella speaking in the background.

"Put me on speaker, and bring your wife to the phone too." My tone was cold, but not without sympathy. I heard voices and shuffling, when it quieted, I spoke. "Mr. and Mrs. Charming, I need you to come to the Beast castle immediately, it's important."

"My I ask why King Ben?" Charming had a bit of attitude, and I don't blame him after what happened just a few days ago.

"Your son has committed an act of treason that must be punished. I would like to be polite and have you weigh in on your sons fate, if you refuse, the council will choose for you."
Deep silence for a couple of seconds. "What has my son done?" Cinderella spoke softly, I could hear the heartache in her voice.

" In an act of rage, your son pushed Princess (Y/N) into the sea, wear she was pulled down by the undertow and nearly drowned. He committed an act of violence against the crown of Auradon, and by law he must be punished for his crimes."

"We'll be there by dawn." It heart me to hear Cinderella's voice so sad and heartbroken, but it had to be done, and then I hung up.

"I'm proud of you son," my father spoke," you did not let your anger consume you, you thought rationally and gave them an ultimatum. You've done good."
the phone then rang, loud and powerful. I picked it up, it was Mal, it calmed me just hearing her voice, but rage came back from what she said.

"You need to bring fairy god mother here, she's the only person who can save (Y/N), she's fading ever minute that ticks down." I could hear the raw emotion in here voice, and hurt me, I couldn't even protect the ones I love the most.

"I'll be there in ten minutes." And then I hung up.

Harry POV

Fairy God Mother had used her magic on (Y/N), and she was slowly waking. I held her hand tightly, hoping if she felt it, she would come back to me. I've never been one to cry, Dad always said it was weak, but I couldn't help it. The women I love with everything I had, I couldn't protect her, I wasn't fast enough to get to her, to save her. Mal was on the other side of (Y/N), holding her other hand. She was whispering to her, reminding her of all the memories she shared with her friends, with Ben and her, and her memories with me. I couldn't take it, Fairy God Mother said she may never wake up, and I couldn't live with myself if she didn't wake up.

Mal POV

I reminded (Y/N) of all her memories, hoping it would bring her back if she heard my voice, but she didn't stir. Harry looked at her with such love in his eyes, I could truly see how much He cared for her. Tears fell from his eyes, and landed on (Y/N)'s cheeks. Harry bent down and kissed her, it had some much love in that small moment. He pulled away, tears still falling. Ben entered, coming to stand by my side. But with in seconds of Harry's kiss, (Y/N)'a eyes fluttered open.

"Harry" her words were gentle, barely above a whisper. And Harry smiles at her sweetly. She reached up and touched his face, pulling him down to a gentle kiss. They broke apart, and then you clenched her stomach, where the tip of Chad's sword had hit her. Ben and I stepped aside, to let the doctor give pain medicine, and Ben hugged me, we were both in tears, she was okay, she was gonna be okay. It's going to take plenty of time to recover, but she would be okay. She had Harry to help her when the rest of us weren't around.

3rd Person POV

Ben and Mal stepped out onto the balcony, Harry helping (Y/N) out onto it as well. Everyone could see a pressure badge across her stomach, and Harry's arm supporting her.Ben smiled at the crowd, and began to speak.

" I'm sorry to pull you here on such short notice, but I wanted to let you know (Y/N) is doing much better than she was four days ago, and to apologize for pushing back coltition so (Y/N) could join you in the festivities. And to thank you all very much for sending kind words, flowers, and coming to see her. It's taken a lot of her mind, and I look forward to see you all at coltition tomorrow."

What Ben didn't say, was the fate of Chad Charming. He had been sentenced to house arrest, and his parents punished him beyond that, but he hopes it would teach Chad a lesson. But for now, Ben had other duties to attend to, and so he said goodbye to the people, and left the balcony.
