DANIELLA'S POV

Shutting the door to Dylan's car, I walked hastily towards the school building with books in hand. I was running a little late which rarely happens because I am a very punctual person. But today was an exception. Stepping inside, I decided to stop at Bella's locker before heading to mine. I was still getting the dirty looks from some girls as I passed by, but it didn't faze me. Might as well get used to it. I approached Bella and Vicky at Bella's locker.

"You're late." Bella states with her arms folded. In that moment, she resembled those grumpy old professors who liked to point out the obvious.

"Courtesy of Dylan. He set my alarm 7:00 so I wouldn't wake him up early to get ready for school."

"Who's Dylan?" Vicky questioned as her eyes looked confused behind the glasses.

"He's my cousin that apparently goes to school here. Remember I told you I live with my aunt and uncle?"

"Oh yeah..of course! Dylan Martinez right?"

"Yeah. You know him?"

She looked at Bella before replying back.

"Duh! He and.." But Bella interrupted her before she could continue.

"Class is about to start in 15 minutes. You should get to your locker Dani."

I looked at her confused as to why she cut Vicky off but she stared at me like nothing happened. Vicky on the other hand, seemed offended.

"Um..okay. Thanks, I guess. See you guys later."

As I strolled through the hallway, I tried figuring what the cause of Bella's weird behaviour could be. I mean, she practically just drove me away. I was so deep in thought about Bella that I wasn't cautious of where I was going which resulted to bumping into something hard and my books falling flat on the floor.

"Oww!" I exclaimed.

When I looked up, it was the devil himself, only with a pretty face.

"You?"

We both started off but he talked more.

"You just can't seem to stay away from me can you?"

I was getting used to his deep husky voice and it was labelled annoying. Most of the students around were watching us, as if waiting for some sort of fight-sequel to happen.

"You wish. I'm not some stupid fangirl of yours in case you didn't catch the hint the other day."

He stepped closer to me with annoyance burning in his eyes and I forgot my books that were sprawled on the floor.

"And I'm not a dog that you can spill coffee all over. So next time you do that, I wouldn't be so nice."

"Wow! This is you being nice? Seriously? Well in that case, you were pretty much born an asshole."

His expression changes from annoyance to anger. If he wanted a challenge, I'll give it to him.

"That's it! You're..."

"Can't we all just calm down a little?"

Michael cuts in, interrupting whatever Jason was about to say.

"Okay people! Clear out, put the phones down..there's nothin' to see here." A guy hollered.

I looked around, surprised by the crowd that had formed around us and how I hadn't even noticed.
