DANIELLA'S POV

I was being escorted to the Principal's office with Mrs. Roberts beside me, the three men in suits and my Principal at the front. On the way there, I thought of a million reasons why men in suits would be looking for me. Were they some kind of FBI agents or something? The police? I could swear I didn't commit any crimes. I'm nothing but a peaceful citizen in Philadelphia. Or maybe, I just so happen to have one of those faces you know; the psychopaths, the serial killers, the terrorists? I don't know what to think. It's not like I could ask Mrs.Roberts here. She was backstage with us and was asked to come with so yeah, she's just as clueless as me.

We finally got to the Principal's office and as soon as the door was shut, I had to voice my thoughts.

"Am I in trouble?" I asked, a bit scared and worried.

"Of course not. Why would you think that?" My Principal asked.

Oh, I don't know? Men in suits that I have no idea who the hell they are come looking for me and I'm not supposed to think that?

Did I say men in suits?

But of course I didn't say that to my Principal. I don't plan on getting detention or suspension.

"No reason." I said to my Principal actually feeling relieved. At least I'm not a crime suspect.

We took our seats and I proceeded to continue talking.

"With all due respect, If I'm not in trouble then.. Why the hell am I here?"

My Principal gave me a warning look probably because I said hell. But the middle man in the suit thought it was funny. Let's call him middle man, for the time being.

"The reason why you're here has to do with your performance tonight. I was invited to this celebration by your Principal. Normally, I hardly attend these things but since we're such good friends and it's been a long time we saw each other, I decided to come. And right now, I'm glad I came. I saw a lot of performances tonight but when I saw yours, it blew my mind."

I grinned at the middle man. Looks like I blew everyone's mind.

"Thank you so much sir."

"No need to thank me honestly. The way you played that piano effortlessly combined with your beautiful voice was amazing! But most of all, the passion you put into that performance was extraordinary."

I was dumbstruck and touched by his words. He made me happier than I already was that night; if that were even possible.

"In conclusion, you have true talent Miss. Martinez. Which is why I want to promote it."

"Promote it?"

Now I was confused; like all over again.

"I'm not following Mr...Sir..."

Yeah I didn't get his name. Middle man chuckled.

"Forgive me, where are my manners?I didn't introduce myself earlier. My name is Charles Brown; well known business man and owner of Music and Arts Academy in L.A."

I stared at him shocked. Now he blew my mind! I was talking to the owner of Music and Arts Academy in L.A; my dream school! I couldn't be any more happier.

"N..nice to meet you Mr. Brown. I'm a really big fan of your school."

"Really? I didn't think you'd know it."

"Are you kidding me? Of course I know it. It's so pretty and huge."

He laughed at that.

"Thank you. It seems like I don't have much explaining to do so in that case, I'll get straight to the point. I have an offer to make."

"Go ahead." I said eagerly.

"Of course. With talent like yours, I'd be honoured if you would come study at my school."

He's offering for me to come study at his school! I couldn't be any more happier. But then reality sank in, and the happiness I felt was replaced with sadness.

"I would love to but...but I can't afford the fees to go there. I'm sorry, I can't accept your offer."

He smiled at my downcast demeanour, clearly amused. Did he think this was funny? My dreams being crushed?

"Miss Martinez, how can you refuse my offer when I haven't even finished talking yet?"

What now?

"You see Miss Martinez, I'm willing to give you a scholarship to study at my school for your 11th and 12th grade."

I was quick to cover my mouth to keep myself from screaming. A scholarship to M&A.A?

"You really mean it Mr. Brown?" I asked, clearly amazed.

"Of course I mean it. I would love to also pay the bills for your flight, that is if you agree. All you have to do is decide."

I was about to say a big yes but then I stopped myself. If I leave, that meant I had to leave Philadelphia all the way to Los Angeles. This place has been my home since forever. I can't just up and leave. My home, my family, my friends...my everything was here. But music was also my everything too.

"Um..."

I trailed off, not knowing what to say. As if reading my thoughts, he continued.

"You don't have to decide right here right now. How about you give me your answer by next Friday so you can think about it?"

"Sure."

He brought out a card from his suit and handed it to me.

"Here's my business card if you want to contact me. Or you could simply ask your Principal."

I thanked him again, not really knowing what to do.

"Thank you for your time Miss Martinez. I really hope to hear from you again."

He gave me a smile which I returned. As I came out of the office, I had gone backstage. Most people had gone home already but some were still lurking around doing one thing or the other. Relief washed over me as I spotted Rachel, Tony and Sam at the far end of the room talking. They waited up for me. I went up to meet them and they were full of questions that I barely registered. My head was full of the 'what do I do?' questions.

"Well? What happened back there?" Sam asked.

"You won't believe what I'm about to tell you guys."
