Chapter 11
" Quinn !" Cried out a young girl who stood up at the sight of the woman in front of her.
Even with the dried blood and the limp, even with the changed face and the muddy hair, she recognised the one she saw as her sister for so long. It was her Quinn, the one who disappeared four years ago.
Rosalinda ran towards the girl, crying with knowing as such the shock was and she jumped into her arms, scoffing.
"Where were you ?" She asked, crying. " What happened ? We looked out for you everywhere !"
Hands came wrapping around her waist and the older girl bend her neck to hide her face in the shoulder of the other.
"I'm sorry Rosie . . ." Quinn scoffed as she cried as much as her 'sister'. "I am so sorry for leaving . . ."
"We were so worried . . ." Continued on the younger girl, not listening anymore at what was being said.
Even if they were sobbing on the shoulder of each other's, they continued blabbing without any of them listening. They were just happy to have each other happy to see each other again after so much time.
"You've changed so much Rosie." Said Quinn with a smile, backing away but staying close.
And indeed, the young girl who had once been chubby was slim and beautiful. Her blond hair were tied in a ponytail, her green eyes grew bigger and more mesmerising than ever.
"Everyone calls me Rose now." Chuckled the girl with the same smile.
"Rosie suits you better." Replied Quinn before taking the hand full of rings of the girl and place it on her chest. She sighed, closing her eyes, stroking with her thumb the hand and oblivious to the look of the other.
"Quinn ?"
" It's good to be home again." Said the girl, opening again her eyes and a sad grin on her face. "It's good to see you also." And then she let go of the hand.
Both girls smiled at each other before walking together, their shoulders touching as they went towards the doors of the orphanage.
It was a bright morning of summer. Flowers were blooming, the sun was shining. Green grass, humid by recent rain, covering the ground surrounding the house were many children lived and grew. Down the hill, on the left side of the path, the village with its shops opening. And the sky had white clouds offering shades to poor souls trying to hide himself from the bright sun.
In short, it was a normal day starting again.

Sasha grew tall. Very tall. He was as tall as famous basketball team. And his face was more manly. More mature. Maybe a little more serious. But he still had that same glance in his blue eyes, those same short but devilish hair.
" You haven't changed ..." Said Quinn, forcing a smile on her lips.
" Looking at you, I see know that it isn't me who grew the most. We are nineteen and yet, I'm still the one looking like a child." Scoffed the boy, grinning at his long lost friend.
Rose started at that friendship, walking away towards the door and leaving. She knew she was only a shadow between them and that they had to be left alone for that moment.
But even by knowing it, it saddened him.
"So she truly came back." Said a grave voice from behind her, making her jump a little. Rose let down her head on the closed door, sighting.
If someone had changed between them all, it surely was Amanda Marsh. She was harsh and hard with the new orphans coming each day, she would always have a grave expression on her face but what was the most noticeable was the way she would spend her time in her office instead of outdoors.
It had sent a siren alarm in the head of the ones who had known her for the longest, such as Rose and Sasha but also Hayley. But they couldn't do anything to help except pray for the return of their friend.
" Yes Miss. Quinn has returned from the dead." Answered after a moment of silence Rose.
"Let's all hope she doesn't go back to hell." Said solemnly the woman but a hint of irony could be heard in her voice, making the girl turned around in surprise. " After all, from the look on her face, she surely had experienced the worst torture that could ever exist."
Back to the serious face, noted Rose sadly. She had hoped that something had changed.
" Do you mean -" She gasped in horror as images passed in her mind at bolting speed.
" The loss of someone we held dearer than our one life." Finished the woman, turning away her glance.
" Quinn has already lost her parents and she had no family expect us." Rose didn't understood where she was going. In wasn't making sense to her as she thought that her sister was alone after the events of February.
" But it isn't impossible to create a family." Said Miss Marsh, musing in her own deep thoughts.
" Then Quinn would have à boyfriend ?" Scoffed the girl in astonishment. Quinn was. still young and had disappeared for years. It didn't make sense to her that she would have made a new life somewhere else.
" Maybe or maybe not. But the blood on her face indicates me that something else happened. I cannot say what thought."
"Maybe she met somebody she saw like a little brother or sister and that it reminded her of us." Offered as a reason Rose.
" A child would be a possible theory but ..." She started, her voice lowering down. " I'm afraid we will have to wait."
The older ones at the orphanage, including Hailey, was spying on the duologue. None of them underfoot why those four people held so dearly in their heart a girl who was meant to be dead. And the youngest felt jealousy and envy in front of some attention drawn to one person.
One thing was sure, none were happy with the return of Quinn Wellbone.
So even if it was bright and shiny outside, a dark cloud full of deep thoughts was covering the mind of everyone inside that small house called an orphanage.
And Quinn, in the middle of her vivid talk with her childhood friend, wondered : Is my Aaron okay ?
