Chapter 18:
See You Around, Grayson.

"Rosaline" Dick gently spoke as Rachel, Kory, Gar, and Rachels mother followed behind him. Dick and Rachel undid all the straps, looking at Rose who stared out at nothing, her eyes red from crying. Dick set his hand on her cheek, forcing her to look at him. Her eyes were lifeless and she looked absolutely terrified. Dick had never seen her look so horrified, whatever they had done to her really messed her up.

"Whatever they gave you, whatever you have seen, it's not real Rose," Dick spoke softly to the girl, trying to bring her back, he held the girls face in his hands. Then it was like a light switched, her eyes going from lost and scared to angry. She sent her foot into Rachel causing her to go backward and wrapped her hands around Dick's throat. The anger in her eyes, not even recognizing Dick, Dick could not believe that she couldn't recognize him of all people. Kory grabbed her from behind pulling her arms down as Dick began to catch his breath, everyone looking at Rose in horror. Nobody expecting Rose to hurt someone else, especially Dick Grayson.

"Where the fuck is Jason, where the hell is he?" She screamed and everyone looked around at each other confused, not knowing what to do with her. "I"ll fucking kill you, I swear to god" Rose spoke, thrashing, trying to get out of Kory's grip as Dick looked at his best friend, the only person who had ever cared bout him.

"Dick do something" Rachel begged the man, who had looked as lost as everybody else.

"Rose please, it's me Richard" Rose slowly began to stop thrashing looking at the boy in confusion than it dawned upon her, she wasn't in her dream anymore, this was reality.

"Oh my god" she spoke gently and in shock, Kory slowly let her grip go as Rose looked around, running a hand through her hair. "I-I'm sorry, I-I don't know what I was thinking"

"Let's get the fuck out of here" Kory spoke and Dick quickly grabbed Rose's hand, giving her a light kiss on the forehead.

To say Dick was pissed was an understatement, He didn't care about what they did to him, but what they had done to Rose had messed her up and he was not going to let them get away with it. Rose held Dick's hand as Rachel's mother led them through the tunnel, her only thought focused on getting back to Gotham after all this and killing The Joker, herself before he could ever hurt Jason or anybody else she loved. Rachel's mother came to a halt, seeing two figures ahead, two security guards.

"There they are," one of them said, "all right you guys just stay right where you are."

Rachel had uneasy look, moving back, looking to Dick. Rose had a death grip on his hand, he let go of hers taking a step forward. Dick decided this would be the perfect time to get his payback for what they had done to Rose, he took a step forward. "I got this."

Dick moved in front of the group, prying off a metal bar from the wall. Dick charged at the guards, sending the bar into the stomach of the one guard. The other guards attacked back quickly sending a stun gun into Dicks side, pushing the guard back, he sent the bar into the face of the other, blood splattering everywhere. Dick hit the other guard with the bar, sending both guards to the ground.

More guards approached, Dick approached them, taking them out one by one. Rose tightened her eyes closed, the sound reminding her too much of what she had seen in her dream. Rachel watched as the girl beside her stuck her fingers in her ears, breathing heavily. Rose hadn't even realized how time had passed as Rachel grabbed her hand leading her forward, Rose opened her eyes to follow the girl.

"Get her out of here," Dick told Rachel and Rachel did, making sure Rose followed behind her.

Rose stood beside Dick, watching the Robin suit burn. Her hands in her jacket pocket as she took a deep breath, turning to look at Dick.

"Dick" Rose spoke gently as he turned to look at her, seeing the sadness in her eyes, a tear slowly trailing down her cheek.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" Dick looked to the girl as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion/

"I'm going back to Gotham," Rose spoke quietly looking back down at the Robin suit.

"What do you mean?"

"I have to go back to Gotham" Dick watched as multiple tears began to go down her cheeks.

"What do you mean? You don't have to go. You can stay with me." Dick spoke not wanting the girl to leave him, they were a team.

"I can't stay here, I've gotta go home, to Gotham, it's time for me to go home. " she said shaking her head, looking down at the ground. Dick grabbed the bottom of her chin, forcing her to look up at him, a single tear going down his cheek.

"Rose, I look at you and I think you're a lot like me. There are these things I have to do. Not want but have to. I can do them alone, but I bet whatever it is that's in me is you? And I don't want you to get hurt" Dick told the girl and she let out a sigh before he continued. "It doesn't always make sense, but Rose please stay here with me, don't go home"

"Dick there's no reason for me to be here anymore. I think you should try going back home as well" Dick shook his head, his hand dropping to his side in frustration.

"Rose, they need you here!" He fought back trying to convince the girl to stay, pointing to Kory, Rachel, and Gar. Rose looked at the group and than back to him, raising an eyebrow.

"The kids need me?" Rose questioned. "What about you?"

Dick swallowed, biting his lip, looking to the ground as Rose shook her head in disappointment.

"See you around Grayson" Rose turned around, walking away to the road, Dick watched as she left, he wanted to chase after her. He wanted so badly to run up to her and grab her hand and beg her to stay with him, but he wouldn't, he couldn't, his pride had gotten the best of him just like with Bruce.

A/N: I really hope you listened to There She Goes by The La's during this chapter, it really hit harder. I hope I didn't hurt your heart too bad for this chapter, let's see where the road takes Rose.
