Rapunzel, Flynn and Y/N were all trapped inside a small cave in the cliff side, a giant rock pillar blocked their exit and water was beginning to fill up fast. When they all spotted the gushing water coming in, they tried to run up the cave and get out, but it was a dead end, and the rocks blocking them seemed too solid and sturdy to be moved by brute force alone. Rapunzel and Y/N clung to the back wall for dear life, panicking. Y/N's worst fear in the whole world was water, especially large bodies of water, as it could seriously damage her (cos you know.... fire powers). Flynn glanced about the cave desperately before diving down into the water. The water level had gone up to reach around Rapunzel's ankles and the whole entrance area they'd come up from was filled to the brim.
Flynn came back up, gasping for air for a second, before diving back down again, whilst Rapunzel and Y/N watched in terror. Pascal was just vibing on the wall not doing much. Rapunzel started slamming the handle of her frying pan to dislodge one of the rocks and make an exit, but they still wouldn't budge. Flynn came back up for air once again. He slammed against the rock walls, trying to pull down anything he could in hopes it would collapse and they'd be free, but to no avail, and also cut himself against a sharper rock edge. He dove down one last time, Rapunzel was battering the walls once again, and Y/N stood, petrified. She couldn't do anything to help, she was useless to them, and it made her want to crawl up into a ball and cry. Her head began to swim (no pun intended), vision blurred and limbs became limp. Flynn burst for the last time from the water, out of breath and terrified.
"It's no use! I can't see anything". He cried, leaning against the back wall. Rapunzel attempted to dive down, but she was yanked up by Y/N and Flynn before she got too far. "There's no point! It's pitch black down there", he told her. Y/N was wobbling awkwardly and feeling incredibly faint.
"Embers? What's wrong with you?" Flynn asked, concerned. Y/N stumbled over down onto Rapunzel, clinging onto her shoulder.
"Nothing, I'm fine, just a little.... dizzy. I'll be fine! I'll go check in the water too"! Y/N responded, stupidly sinking into the water, and instantaneously falling unconscious as she was completely submerged. Flynn swam down after her and yanked her back up to the surface.
"Oh my god! Is she alright?!" Rapunzel cried out. Flynn checked her pulse and nodded.
"She's fine, Blondie. Just unconscious". He held Y/N as carefully and gently as he could, keeping her head above the water. Rapunzel leant back against the wall in defeat.
"This is all my fault! She was right, I never should have done this." Rapunzel sobbed, feeling the guilt weigh her down like a ton of bricks. "I'm so sorry, Flynn", she said before finally breaking down into tears. Flynn looked worried for her and himself, and almost a little guilty too.
"Eugene." He sighed.
"What?"
"My real name is Eugene Fitzherbert. Someone might as well know". Rapunzel smiled slightly, cheering up a little.
"I have... magic hair that glows when I sing", Rapunzel said, casually, as though this was an everyday thing.
"What?"
"I have, magical hair that glows when I sing!" Rapunzel shouted, finally realising what she could do. Just as the water was reaching past all of their heads, Rapunzel managed to sing: "Flower gleam and glow, let your power shine". All three of them were completely underwater, and Rapunzel's hair had started to glow, so Eugene could now see and move the loose, small rocks which finally would let them go. He and Rapunzel desperately yanked at the rocks, and eventually the wall opened up and they were released from their tiny underwater prison, into a lake. They both dragged Y/N up onto shore, making sure she was still fine and not...dead (Roll credits). Thankfully she wasn't, and Rapunzel and Eugene went to dry off, but he was also having a mental breakdown at the exact same time.
"Her hair glows!"
"Eugene!"
"I didn't see that coming, her hair actually glows!"
"Eugene!"
"Why does her hair glow?!"
"Eugene!!!"
"What?!!"
Rapunzel stood up, wringing her hair out onto the grass. "It doesn't just glow". Pascal smirked towards Eugene.
"Why is he smiling at me?"
