Saturday came quickly and finally, I was getting ready for Tyler and his band's concert.

I was currently doing my make up while Maya was next to me straightening her hair and hyperventilating at the same time. I laugh at her and swipe on some red lipstick.

I pick up my phone and check the time, 7:15pm. "We have to leave soon, door open at 8:00 and it takes 45 minutes to get there." I told her and put down my phone.

"O-okay." She breathed.

I took a final look in the mirror before we left, I wore a tight red dress (that wasn't too fancy but looked nice) and had my hair half up half down. Maya was wearing the same dress only it was purple.

"Let's go!" Maya shouted, she must have suddenly got a burst of energy I'm guessing.

I grabbed the keys to my car since my car was full of gas and headed out the door. We got into my car and Maya immediately turned on the radio and plugged in the aux. She put Twenty One Pilots on shuffle as I pulled out of the Parking lot. The corners of my mouth turned up, and I hummed along to the song.

Before I knew it, we were at the venue getting ready to walk in. Maya pulled out the tickets from her bag and handed one to me, I gladly take it. We exit the car and walk towards the entry, two people stood by the doors collecting tickets. I handed mine to the lady on the left, while Maya handed hers to the man on the right.

They let us in and as soon as I walked in I was immediately overwhelmed. It was packed in the tiny theater, and the smell of beer was in the air. Maya locked eyes with me and gave me a reassuring smile.

I grinned back at her even though on the inside I was panicking. I checked my phone instinctively, the time was 8:20; meaning Tyler was going onstage in 10 minutes. I opened up our messages and send him a text.

Me: hey I'm here! Good luck out there :P
Read 8:21.

"We should try to get in the front of the pit, I see a spot that could fit us." I nodded, putting my phone away, and followed her. However, I bumped into several people along the way, I just mumbled apologies and kept walking.

Surprisingly we got right to the front and had a perfect view of the stage. All that was on the stage was a drum set, a piano, and a microphone. (plus a stand for the mic.)

"I literally can't wait!" Maya yelled over the loud crowd.

"Me too!" I felt a bit lightheaded but I ignored it because if I left my spot it would get taken and I wouldn't be able to enjoy the concert.

"OH MY GOD THEY'RE WALKING ONTO THE STAGE!" I let out a laugh at Maya and focused on the stage.

The lights go dim and Tyler and an unknown guy walk out; excitement fills my body. The beginning of Ode to Sleep started playing and Tyler walked up to the mic.

Red spotlights lit up his face, however, he wore a skeleton mask instead, which I thought was really cool. "I wake up fine and dandy but then by the time I find it handy to rip my heart apart and start planning my crash landing," He rapped and my mouth fell open a bit. I wasn't expecting him to be this good live, and how are his lungs letting him rap that fast-

"I'll stay awake, cause the darks not taking prisoners tonight!" I realized I spaced out after missing more than half of the first verse. I turn my head to look at Maya, she was basically drooling.

I drew my attention back to the stage and at Tyler, he was now sat at the piano and his mask was off. I watched his face as he nonchalantly scanned them crowd while singing.

His eyes locked with mine and a smile washed over my face, he smiled back and glanced down as his cheeks turned pink.

I cheered him on and continued to listen, he sounded exactly like he did in the recording. He had pure talent.

A few minutes later, the song ended and he moved onto the next song which was 'guns for hands'. The drummer started playing and Tyler nodding along to the beat.

"I know what you think in the morning, when the sun shines on the ground, and shows what you have done, it shows where your mind has gone." He sang and I grinned.

Sorry about the short, crappy chapter, I actually had to cut off the end of it because the scene I wrote with Eliza was a bit too dark for this book. I also am sorry about my updating schedule, it's horrendous but I'm working on it. ;) oh and the next chapter will be a continuation of this one, I don't want to end the concert scene with that so yeah!
