Blossompaw was applying some dock on Logfur's pads when she heard Grassclaw's voice. "We're back!"
Quickly applying the last of the dock, she eagerly plodded to where the crowd was gathered. She looked around and saw Leaftail and Curlpaw sitting together. Then her eyes changed direction and saw Ruthpelt chatting with Waveleg. She gulped and then looked in front when the patrol started speaking.
"Ah, you're back. So did you all find any other route?" Greenstar asked.
Mistfur started first, "We have found a new route..." Cheers could be heard. Blossompaw felt herself calming down.
"... but we need to cross a mountain," Mistfur finished. Everyone's eyes were all filled with shock.
"Mountain? But what if we fell down or something?" Horsefur complained. Some cats murmured their agreement.
"I assure you all we wouldn't. The mountain has huge platforms and only some small cracks that we are required to jump," Grassclaw argued. Some cats nodded while some glared. The two leaders seemed to be thinking.
"How about my kits?" Icefeather asked anxiously as she called her kits closer to her. Crowpelt also placed her tail protectively around her two kits. "Will they be in danger?"
Cloudtail, Icefeather's mate, came towards her and comforted, "Our kits will not be hurt. I will protect them with my life." Icefeather purred.
"I agree with you, Cloudtail, I had kits too," Lionpelt assured, looking at his grown kits: Ottertail and Dawnfur. "So don't worry, the cracks are small and you and some other cats can carry the kits." Cloudtail and Icefeather both nodded gratefully.
"OK, so it's certain," Splashstar concluded. "We shall use the mountain route and we will leave now." Most cats nodded slowly but some still had worry shown clearly in their eyes.
"So, the patrol should lead the Clans," Greenstar continued. "Woodpool, Stemleaf, Grassclaw, Mistfur, Mousetail, and Lionpelt, please led us." The six cats nodded though Blossompaw thought she saw some negative feeling clouding Woodpool's eyes.
As the Clans followed, Blossompaw looked at all places to see if she could see Leaftail. She finally spotted her at the middle of the crowd, chatting with Bramblewing.
"Um... hi, Leaftail," Blossompaw did as she glanced at Bramblewing. "We need to talk, softly, I should say."
"I know what you mean..." Bramblewing mewed embarrassingly as he padded away. Leaftail then looked at Blossompaw, urging her to speak.
"Any news of the prophecy?" Blossompaw queried.
"Huh, no. Not really..." Leaftail said casually, still walking. Blossompaw immediately knew that she was lying.
"Are you hiding something from me?" Blossompaw demanded. "What is it? Speak up! You shouldn't keep secrets from your own sister!"
Leaftail abruptly stopped, causing some of the cats behind to bump into them. Muttering a apology, Leaftail signaled Blossompaw to head to the side if the Clans. Blossompaw obeyed.
Once they were at the side, Leaftail confessed, "OK, so Woodpool received a prophecy about rouges attacking the Clans."
Blossompaw gasped in astonishment. "It's the danger in the prophecy! Why didn't you tell Greenstar and Splashstar?"
Ignoring Blossompaw's question, Leaftail continued, "That's not all, sis. Woodpool also said that I was fighting with Petalpaw. No kidding, I really mean Petalpaw."
Blossompaw's eyes widened in shock. "But Petalpaw's dead! How could you be fighting with her when she is dead."
"Obviously I know I can't fight with a spirit, but it is because of the fact that Petalpaw is still alive," Leaftail explained. "We never did find Petalpaw's body, did we?"
"You... mean Petalpaw's still alive and breathing?" Blossompaw's voice quivered. "And you will he fighting with her? That's impossible?"
"Who knows," Leaftail muttered, before sprinting to the front if the Clans.
"Leaftail, wait!" Blossompaw shouted, but Leaftail ignored her.

"We are here," Grassclaw announced. Blossompaw gasped as she looked at the mountain. It was so tall that she could not even see the end of it.
The Clans were equally awed as they started climbing up to the platform. As promise, Cloudtail and some other warriors helped to carry the kits.
Finally, the Clans reached the platform. Blossompaw thought she smelt a scent of unfamiliar cats and pushed the thought away. As the Clans padded, Blossompaw became more and more insecure .
Was there someone following them?
As they went on, the scent became stronger, and more cats smelt it too. The leaders then ordered the Clans to stopped when... a yowl erupted nearby. "BLOODCLAN, ATTACK!!!"
Blossompaw immediately saw the rouges, killer eyes everywhere. The danger in the prophecy had finally come....
