princessjuliana Today, Princess Juliana attended the Sandringham Women's Institute meeting on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen.
Princess Juliana joined the WI ladies for tea and cake, then listened to a speech, which was made this year by BBC newsreader Huw Edwards.
During her speech to the event, Princess Juliana told her fellow members: "Of course, Her Majesty wished she was able to attend today. I promised her that I would do my best to fill in for her and have a really lovely afternoon with you all."
Her Majesty visits the group every year as part of her winter stay at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
The Queen has been a member of the Sandringham WI since 1943, when she was still Princess Elizabeth.
