Chapter Eight | Rumor Has It — 20 February 2020

"Aunt J!" George exclaims, running towards us with Louis following him.

"Hey Georgie!" I squealed as I picked him up.

Catherine comes around the corner with Charlotte and William behind her.

"Hello, Juls." William said, stepping towards us as Daniel tosses Louis into the air.

I put George down and pull William into a hug.

"How are you?" I asked.

"Good, how are you?" William answered.

"Good, really good." I replied.

"Hello, Catherine." Daniel said, sliding Louis onto his hip and giving her a hug.

"Hello, Katie." I said as I bend down to speak to Charlotte. "Hey, Char, do you want to give aunt J a hug?" I asked her.

Charlotte nods her head yes.

I open my arms and she walks into them and I wrap my arms around her.

"I missed you, did you miss me?" I asked.

"Yes." She answered.

"Are you excited for our first joint engagement?" Catherine asked as I stand up and hold hands with Charlotte.

I smiled.

"I'm excited to see William try to keep me in check." I answered.

William scoffed.

"We all know Juliana has an short attention span and will most likely end up doing something she is not supposed to." William said.

"I'm not denying it." I said as we moved to the living room to spend sometime relaxing and playing with the kids before we had to go.

"Daniel, how are you handling everything?" Catherine asked.

Daniel sighed.

"Honestly, they don't make it easy but it's nothing I cannot handle. I knew what I was getting myself into when I started dating Juliana, and I'm not going to let some people run me out of the love of my life's life." He answered as Catherine and William smiled.

"I know we hadn't been the best supporters for Harry and Meghan, and we honestly should have done better instead of remaining silent and we hope with you two that things won't get to that point but we will do the right thing this time around so if you two need anything from us, please do not hesitate to ask us." William said.

I smiled.

"Thank you, and don't worry you guys as long as you both make an effort with Harry and Meghan, things will change between you four." I said.

"I hope so." Catherine said.

"I want our children to grow up with their cousin. I mean that was the plan, we would all live in the palace together and watch our kids play and be the best of friends." William said.

"And that will happen, just give them some time and now it's time for us to go." I said, looking at the clock behind William.

Daniel takes my hand and pulls me from my seat on the couch.

"Do you think by bringing Daniel, the public will speculate that you two are engaged?" Catherine asked as she grabbed her purse and coat.

"Let them, I want Daniel to be prepared for our lifestyle and Granny agrees and her opinion is the only thing that matters to me." I answered as we head out of the apartment and towards the cars.
