Rydel's POV
I stare in shock at the text that Ellington had just sent me. Was he just playing around? Was he serious? I wasn't sure. So, I decided not to reply.
But, what if he was serious? Then, he would be upset that I didn't reply. But, if he wasn't serious, then that means he won't care. Maybe that text was meant for someone else?
"Stop confusing yourself, Rydel." I mumble to myself, hitting the wall in frustration.
"It's too early to be angry at the walls, Rydel!" I hear Ross yell from down the hall.
"The walls are bullies! Not me!" I yell back.
"Both of you shut up so I can sleep!" I hear Riker yell.
"Sorry Rik!" I yell as I climb off of my bed. I quickly get up, before running downstairs. Realizing it's noon and no ones awake, I quickly write a note.
Hey, family. I'll be back in a little bit. I went out, and I'll make sure to be safe!

I quickly place the note on the counter, before walking out the front door. I get in my car, before driving to Ellington's house.
I pull in his driveway, quickly jumping out and making my way towards the front door. I knock, and Ellington answers the door.
"Oh, um, H-hey Rydel." He says nervously.
Instead of replying, I quickly grab him by his shirt and smash my lips onto his. He starts to kiss back at first, but then stops.
"I can't do this." He says quietly as he pulls away.
"Why not?" I ask.
"Wow. Now thats, an awkward moment."
