Chapter 16

Rydel's POV

"Kelsie?" I ask her quietly, shocked that she was here.

"Hey Dels." She says as she smiles smugly at me.

"How? Why didn't you tell me before?" I ask quietly because of how much shock I'm in.

"Oh, Dels. Let me tell you a wonderful story. My mom and dad weren't working out well. They ended up getting a divorce. My mom wanted to move where my dad couldn't find us, so she decided on California. We both dyed our hair, and we left. Instead of Kelsie, I was now Kelly. My mom went back to her maiden name, Voosen. So I took her maiden name. I was now Kelly Voosen, daughter of Cassandra Voosen. Eventually, mom found someone. His name was Robert, and mom fell in love. He proposed, but she refused to marry him until he agreed to take her last name, instead of her taking his. He eventually agreed, and they got married. They had my little brother, Daniel, who is now 7, and I call him dad. Now, we're the happy Voosen family. Well, my parents at least think I'm happy." Kelly says as she snorts.

"Emmy never told you my secrets. You knew them all along, Kelly. You knew that I cut. You knew that I hated myself, until Mrs. Cuffner came along." I say quietly.

"Rydel, I didn't know who you were when I first met Emmy. She called you Rydel, and everyone in Colorado always called you Delly or Del. I didn't remember your real name. I just assumed she was telling me some random girls secrets, and I wanted to know them, because I wanted to bond with someone who was as broken as me. And then I met Ellington. When we met, he was depressed. I made him happy again. Just like I want to be. I'm not an incoherent bitch, sorry for the language Dels, best word to use, I'm just broken and I need help." Kelly says as she looks at me, eyes full of sorrow.

"What, Kelly?" I ask I complete shock.

And then, in the kindest voice I've ever heard, she says,

"I want you to make me happy again Dels." And then she hugs me, and begins crying.

"When do we start?"

Hello peoples of the universe. I don't know if this is long or short, it was more of a filler and quickly written chapter than anything. Delly wants to help Kelly, blah blah blah. I don't know if that's Kelly's moms real name, I googled it, and I couldn't find anything so I just made up a name. I feel like this sucked, but at least it was an update.
