Rydel's P.O.V.

This morning when I woke up, all I could think about was me and Ellington kissing last night. After we kissed, it was awkward between us the rest of the night. Yeah, we were friends again. Just not super close like we used to be. I texted Ell this morning:

Hey Elly Bear. Wanna hang out today?

I hit send, and within a minute my phone vibrated.

Sorry, I can't. Maybe tomorrow? Already have plans with your bros today and then after I have dinner with Kelly. Sorry again

I'm kind of angry now. He kisses me last night, and then goes to dinner with Kelly? Freaking cheater.

Seriously? We kiss last night and then you have the nerve to go to dinner with Kelly? You are a cold hearted cheater 😠 at least be honest with her...

I hit send. I hope I just gave him a piece if my mind. Almost instantly, my phone vibrates. But when I looked down, it wasn't from Ell, it was from an unknown number.

Your learning that you don't always get your way, aren't you 'Delly'? Ellington doesn't want you. I may be just using him to make my ex jealous, but I will continue to play him if it means keeping him from you. Get out of my way, Rydel. He may have kissed you last night, but it was out of pity. He felt bad that a 21 year old has never had her first kiss. Stay away from my man, Rydel. Or I will get you.

This may have been a threat, but I laughed. Kelly, attack me? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. I typed something back.

Kelly, I laughed when I read that. Your threats don't bother me. You, attack me? Haha LoL. I have grown up with four brothers and a guy for a best friend. If I have to attack someone, I know how. You learn a lot when your whole life you play sports with your brothers. I may look like a girly girl, but I do know how to win a fight.

I hit send, giggling to myself. My phone vibrates as I hit send, and when I look down I see a text from Ellington.

Rydel, I didn't write the text about hanging out with your brothers and going to dinner with Kelly. I had Kelly come over so I could break up with her, and while I was in the bathroom, she sent you that text. I yelled at her for it, and then broke up with her. I'd love to hang out with you today. Meet you at the mall in about 30 mins?

After reading it, I smiled to myself. I kinda felt like that other message wasn't from Ell, but I don't really trust my instincts.

I hit send, and got up to get dressed. I jumped in the shower and did all the things girls do in the shower. When I got out, I put this on:

When I got done, I went downstairs to see my brothers sitting in the living room, all of them on their phones.

I was getting ready to tell them I was going to the mall with Ell, but since they think we don't really like eachother, then that would just be too weird. I thought up another idea instead.

"I'm going to the mall with Maddie." I say. Madelyn is my best friend. But, we all call her Maddie. Probably should just invite her along anyway.

"Alright. See ya later." Riker says, followed by a chorus of 'byes' and 'see ya laters' from the rest of my brothers.

I walk out the front door and walk to my car. When I get to my car, I stop and call Maddie.
