In a dimly lit room, stood a throne constructed of broken pieces of human bones. A tall figure sat upon that throne, an aura of black mist surrounded it, trailing down the length of the throne, swiping across the stone ground. There was a sinister presence radiating off this being, the thick mist engulfed every inch of the dark figure, only two piercing blood red eyes stared at two other hooded figures bowing before their great lord. Unfaris was the first to raise followed by Ocrius, the two Warlocks bathing in the pure dark energy their lord was feeding into the air. Ocrius had finally been able to complete his life's work of trying to bring back The Darkness and here was The Darkness before them. Their Dark Lord had been very pleased with both Unfaris and Ocrius in their quest to rise him again.

They had been awarded the highest honor with a place in The Darkness New Age once he rid the world of the Light and everything or anyone that stood in his way. Without the chosen one, Guardians Ronin, The Darkness wouldn't have been able to rise. The ancient being had taken full control of the former Guardian, no traces of Ronin were left. “Master, I have someone here who wishes to aid you in your vision of New Age order. She will be a great addition to our forces to battle the enemy”. When Ocrius finished speaking, he beckoned a small middle aged woman to step forward. The woman did so, taking a few steps forward before kneeling before The Darkness.

“Great ancient one my name is….”, before she could finish The Darkness stood from his throne the black mist moving with him as he loamed over the woman kneeling at his feet. Black mist crawling across the floor, “I know who you are Kamila Morelli of The Sisters of the Ancient One. Your founding Coven sister was the first one to unleash me. Pledge yourself and your Coven to me and I Will promise you honour among my New Age Order”, long arms reached down to cup Kamila’s face as The Darkness pulled her face up towards him so he could get a better look at the witch.

Black mist danced from his skin to the skin of Kamila’s face sending chills down her spine. Dark energy fueled into her body, an overwhelming power shot through her body like she had never felt before. Kamila stared upon The Darkness blood red eyes, “I Kamila Morelli, Leader of the Sisters of the Ancient One, devote myself and my Coven to you our Ancient Master. My Coven sisters and I give our lives and service to the Ancient One in the coming war against the Light”.

A grin spread across The Darkness face before letting go of Kamila’s face. “Do not disappoint me witch, those who cross me will feel the true power of The Darkness. Unfaris prepare your forces for battle, Kamila you will do the same. Ocrius send word to all my creatures that their Master has risen and requests his devoted followers to fight under his command against the Light”. All three bowed their heads, leaving the room to follow out the plans their Master had given them. It would not take long for his creatures to mobilize their forces to New Haeven in order to attack The Darkness enemies. He had been waiting centuries to be risen again. The Darkness wasn’t going to waste any time planning his full scale attack on the Guardian HeadQuarters then The Circle without their precious building the Guardians would have nothing.

He would kill every last Guardian, Elder and Children of Light in New Haeven and then spread across the world destroying everything in his path to a glorious New Age filled with chaos and darkness. It was time he showed them the true power of The Darkness and fully embrace the name he had been gifted many years ago. This name hadn’t been spoken since his creation, it would be a name they would soon come to fear. There was one person The Darkness had unfinished business with, the old man had walked this earth for far too long it was time for the old man to die. The Darkness knew very well that his dark energy was draining the light energy from the Elder.

This would make his battle with the Elder easier, once Theokritos was out of the way, the whole Guardianship would crumble into dust. A few days went by before The Darkness had his army acting swiftly to attack the Guardian Headquarters, for an unbreakable stronghold it had been simple enough to plant seeds of destruction in the minds of select Guardians who’s minds had some sliver of doubt about their Ordership. His Archdemon made easy work influsioning with demonic possessions to mind control Guardians to give Abnus's Dark Army access to the Headquarters.

Demons of all kinds spilled into the main entrance way, ripping apart Guardians limb from limb these stupid Guardians thought they could stand a chance against him and his army. Those that were left after the chaos of battle were gathered before The Darkness forced to bow down before him, he could feel the light energy flowing through the cowards of prisoners knowing very well the two Children of the Light were among them. “You will join me, Abnus, the almighty Ancient One, and be saved from the coming Dark Age or you will die.''

Several of the Guardians struggled against the chains his demons had placed on them, trying to defy his actions. Some Guardians stepped forward taking in the words of The Darkness, gifted with demonic energy possession and mind control. The strongest ones were turned into a different variety of demons, dark energy pouring unto their bodies peeling away the human flesh to reveal majestic demon skin, no humanity left. “We will never surrender to you!” shouted from the lips of Guardian Lillian hidden in the sea of Guardians before him.

This drew a smirk across his face and a laugh that rumbled so hard that it shook everything in the Headquarters, “Very well if that is your decision then perhaps an example must be made. Witness The Darkness might against those who would dare defy me” he shouted. The Darkness beckoned two demons forward who were dragging a figure dressed in robes, stumbling to stay up right as one demon jerked the chains, pushing him to the ground before The Darkness “Hello old friend”, stepping forward to pull the hood from the figure relieving Elder Theokritos aged face.

There were several gasps amongst the Guardians in the room. The Elder was silent but glanced back to lock eyes with Guardian Nicole, panic and fear spread across her face, fresh tears spilled down from her eyes. She knew very well what was about to happen, she tried to struggle against the demon holding her back screaming out the Elders name over and over again. Without a single word spoken The Darkness moved in one single shift motion grabbing onto Elder Theokritos black mist digging into The Elders skin burning him alive. Screams of pain filled the quiet void in the main hall of the Guardian Headquarters, Elders and Guardians alike watched in horror as black flames consumed Elder Theokritos until there was nothing but ash left on the ground.

In her anger Nicole lashed out enough that she got out of the demons grip and attacked the closet demon she could get her hands on. Finding new strength several people followed, Lillian took down demon after demon fighting to free both Sara and James from their chains. A roar come from The Darkness direction, but Lillian ignored it as Nicole shouted at her, “Get them to the portal quick”. All four of them made a run towards the staircase demons on their trail. Guardians that had managed to free themselves jumped in front of the demon horde to give Nicole, Lillian, Sara and James the chance they needed to escape to the basement of the building. Both Nicole and Lillian could hear their last dying screams as those Guardians made the ultimate sacrifice in their sworn duty to protect the Children of the Light.

The group had just rounded the corner where the portal was located when steel of a long sword flashed right in front of them, they stopped dead in their tracks, “Kalen, Lillian with Nicole, James and Sara. We are friends not foes. The Headquarters is under attack, we must get to the The Circle and warn them. '' Kalen stepped back, sliding the long sword back into the hilt, reaching for a loading crystal placing it in its place, “The portal is ready, I will protect it to my last dying breath. May the light always guide you, until we me again friends”. With that the Gatekeeper brandished his long sword taking defensive guard as the group of four rushed into the void of the portal.
