Sara was sitting on the upper seating deck of the ferry, enjoying the fresh cool breeze from the ocean. All was calm on the seas as they floated along, everything was quiet with Sara the only one awake right now. James had fallen asleep not too long after dinner and Guardian Isadora went to her room leaving Sara alone, something she hated more than ever now that Lillian wasn’t here with her. Sara had spent most of her life alone before Lillian came into her life and it had been the two of them for so long that without her Sara felt like apart of her soul was missing. She knew very soon that they would be reunited after her and James task was completed and return back to New Haeven when it was safe.

A waiter had been nice enough to make a cup of tea for Sara while the ferry reached the final hours of its journey, they would soon be reaching the Port of Patras in Greece. Guardian Isadora had a car waiting at the port for them to drive to Athens from Patras which was about a two hour drive. Sara sighed to herself, bringing up the cup of hot liquid to her lips, taking a small sip hoping that it might help her get some sleep.

She had been staring off into space that she hadn’t heard someone approaching until Guardian Isadora’s voice spoke, “Couldn’t sleep?” she questioned. Sara turned to face her nodding her head silently, Guardian Isadora then asked if she could join Sara, “Ya sure go ahead” she answered casually. She didn’t mind the company and she had just been complaining to herself that she was lonely.  A waiter came refilling Sara’s tea and took Guardian Isadora’s drink order, for the first time since Sara had met Guardian Isadora she actually got a clear look at her.

She was dressed down not wearing the Guardian uniform, but a simple pair of black jeans and black t-shirt. All her features were quite stunning to Sara as she had ever met another woman so different. Her oval face was matched with a light olive skin tone, a pair of striking green eyes and a nose with a more prominent bridge than others. Guardian Isadora’s chestnut hair was cut short but it still complanited her face and Sara couldn’t help but find herself staring at Guardian Isadora like she was some type of beautiful painting.

Sara didn’t know why she was saying these things or having the feeling she had whenever she was this close to Guardian Isadora she certainly had never had such strong feelings towards someone before it didn’t matter what the gender was. Sara realized she was staring for far too long turning away to try and hide the blush forming across her cheeks. Guardian Isadora didn’t seem to notice or she didn’t make it known. Sara was relieved when the woman changed the subject, “Forgive me for asking but are you and uh Signore James together..”, Sara almost choked on her tea at that commented, putting down the cup on the table before she spilled it finally answering Guardian Isadora’s question.

“Oh no were not together James and I are like friends that’s all, we share this bond being the Children of the Light but that’s about it”. This answer got a nod from Guardian Isadora, Sara asked her if there was a special person in her life, Guardian Isadora head shaking told Sara that there wasn’t. The sun was starting to rise as the boat captain paged overhead that they would be docking into the port entrance very soon. Guardian Isadora excused herself telling Sara she would meet them at the port station once she was gone Sara finished off her tea before going to wake up James.

Mostly everything going on seemed to blend together as the three of them found the car waiting for them, no one spoke a word during the drive to Athens. They were dropped off in the city centre of Greece, old ruined temples and structures loomed all around them, tourists flocking to get that perfect picture of marvelous ancient history. Guardian Isadora was on high alert as they waited for their contact to show up. There were masses of people coming and going, too many variables for trouble.

Slowly a middle aged man made his approach, Sara saw right away he was dressed like a Guardian, their Orderships symbol snitched into the black uniform he was wearing. “Ah Guardian Isadora, kýrios Hillman, Despoinída Danvers”, all three of them replied yes, which brought a smile to the man’s face. “Welcome to Greece my name is Master Guardian Andreas, I am in charge of the Guardianship here. The Holy Edler contacted me personally with the matters of your current mission. I will assist you in any means required to complete the mission. Our Elders here believe the answers lay buried in our Orderships most ancient archives located under the temple of Athena”.
