Day 18

[Day 18 (Sana leaves)]

Sana was packing up in the early morning. She made the hospital bed and grabbed her purse with her notebook that Dr. Kwan gave to her. Sana brought all her stuff and came into Tzuyu's room. Tzuyu was still asleep. Sana slowly closed the door behind her and tippy toed to the chair. She quietly set her things down and rested her head into the ball of her fist. Her eyes were full of love and passion when looking at Tzuyu. Sana always felt tensed up whenever she saw Tzuyu or was close to Tzuyu. Her ears were always hot and her face always blushed whenever Tzuyu was closer to Sana than ever before.

Sana stayed with Tzuyu until it was time for her to leave. Sana didn't want to wake up Tzuyu so she decided to just write Tzuyu a little note. Sana starts to write but Tzuyu's hand stops Sana from writing. She pulls Sana onto the bed and hugged Sana. "Sana unnie..how could you leave a note and not even wake me up? If I didn't wake up in time, I'd only be left with a note with your hand writing..." Tzuyu sobs.

"Tzuyu..I didn't wanna interrupt your nap. I'm sorry...I promise to visit you from time to time okay?"

"When'll you come back?"

"When I can Tzuyu. I promise you I won't leave your side. Okay? I love you.." Sana smiles with tears rolling down her cheeks. Sana kissed Tzuyu on the lips before she left. Sana was gone.

Tzuyu spent the day in bed, lonely again. She was sad today, she had nothing to do. Nothing fun to do too. She didn't get a text or call from Sana, she was worried for Sana. Tzuyu texted Sana to take care of herself and be healthy for Tzuyu. Tzuyu kept on looking at her phone, checking if Sana had texted her back or even read her message. Sana never did. Tzuyu had cried for a few minutes then got out of bed in 4:00 P.M, the usual time she visits Sana. It was such a regular schedule, routine, Tzuyu automatically just got out of bed at 4:00 P.M just to see Sana and visit her. Today, Tzuyu had to do a meet-up with her doctor to get feedback. Tzuyu closed the office door behind her and sat down in front of her doctor. "Afternoon Tzuyu."

"Afternoon.." Tzuyu sniffled.

"So, good news. Your cancer is going away, finally. Your cancer is decreasing rapidly. Keep on eating healthy foods,  taking good care of yourself, and taking your medicine. Before you know it, your cancer will go away. Officially. Then you'll be out of this hospital as soon as possible. Okay?" The doctor smiled at Tzuyu. Tzuyu returns a smile back. She was happy her cancer will be going away, it was finally deciding to go away. Tzuyu leaves the office and goes back to her dorm room. She opened the curtains. Today's weather was raining and cloudy. Tzuyu's mind replayed that one moment when Sana and her were walking out in the rain with an umbrella.

"I miss you Sana unnie. Do you miss me too..?" Tzuyu murmurs as tears roll down her cheeks. She had nobody now. Still, no notifications from Sana or anything. She was uspet. Filled with many emotions today. All Tzuyu had was Sana's sticky note that had her hand writing, 'Dear Tzuyu,' and memories. Tzuyu shot up from her bed and dug into her old bag from high school. She found the Polaroid photo of Sana sleeping on her chest. Tzuyu smiles in relief and hugs it.

The rest of the day, Tzuyu was lying in bed and played some little games on her phone to take her mind off of Sana. Tzuyu repeated to herself the rest of the day that Sana must still be adjusting back to her regular life of reality. So Sana would obviously be busy and too busy to text Tzuyu. Tzuyu finally fell asleep. She didn't cry herself to sleep thankfully. She slept with a grin on her face, thinking of tomorrow. She was glad her cancer will be going away, Tzuyu hoped it'd go away quickly so she could be able to see Sana once again. Tzuyu and Sana still could stay in touch, just not physically but virtually at least.
