The next few days pass in a blur. I haven't seen or spoken to Harry since he left my apartment. I have gone back to work, but classes don't start again until after the New Year. So besides work there is nothing to distract me other than laundry and cleaning my apartment. I texted Harry a few times with no response and he won't pick up my calls. Now I am starting to get pissed off.

It is New Year's Eve and I had thought Harry and I would be spending it together. Although I am in no mood to go out Piper has convinced me to spend the evening with her and Ellie.

Now that I have arrived at her apartment to get ready Piper has informed me that the New Year's Eve party we are going to in a few hours is at a club. I know she purposely didn't tell me that information until I was already at her place. She knew I would try to back out and not show up. I am still tempted to leave and go back to my apartment and spend the night watching emotional romance movies and eating ice cream. But I know that I don't need to stay in my apartment alone any longer.

We spend about two hours getting ready with Chloe and Ellie before the four of us head out for the night. Piper forced me to wear a tight gold sparkly top of hers because it is New Year's Eve and I have to wear something sparkly.

We are now waiting in line to get into the club. Chloe said Liam is meeting us here and even though she didn't mention Harry I have a feeling he will be here eventually if Liam is here. I desperately want to see him. But I am also so mad at him for disappearing on me that I feel like I could slap him in the face if I saw him.

When we make it inside and out of the cold, the dark crowded club is a welcomed relief because of the heat. I can't remember the last time I was in a club like this, maybe sophomore year of college. It is dark and I can smell the cigarette smoke that lingers in the air. The music is so loud the floor is vibrating slightly through my heeled boots. The place is filled with people ready to party until the New Year. It is only ten o'clock now so I know I have at least two hours of this before Piper will even consider letting me leave.

"Let's go to the bar!" Piper yells to us over the loud music. The four of us make a line shuffling our way to the bar through the crowd. Chloe and Piper end up getting us some free drinks by innocently flirting with some guys at the bar.

My plan was not to drink tonight because I don't make great decisions when alcohol is involved like the time I stripped in front of Harry. But if I am going to be here for two hours I am going to need to take the edge off with a drink or two.

We all finish our drinks and down a round of shots before heading to the middle of the dance floor. I am trying not to focus on Harry as the little bit of alcohol I consumed works its way through my system and the four of us are dancing together. Liam shows up about an hour later after another round of shots and pulls Chloe away leaving just Piper, Ellie, and I to dance.

The shots and the dancing have warmed my body nicely. I am just intoxicated enough to feel good, but still remain clear headed.

"I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be right back!" I yell to Piper over the loud music.

She nods and turns her attention back to Ellie as I maneuver my way off the dance floor and to the bathrooms.

I am surprised that my make up is still mostly intact and my hair is a little messy but still looks good. I take another second to look myself over and then head out of the bathroom. I start to make my way back to the dance floor to find Piper and Ellie but I think one more shot won't hurt. Thoughts of Harry are still lingering in my head and I need them to go away. I turn towards the bar and as I shove through the crowded club I see him.
