Vampire AU because Vampire AU's are hot. Image is not mine btw. Not much of a warning, but cursing because Bakubabe.

He was in the relaxing in the woods. He had nothing better to do. When he was bored, he would sit under the shade and listen to the calming sounds of rushing water from the river.

Kirishima had a lot of free time. That's what you get for being a lonely 400 year old vampire. His family was killed years ago and the poor kid was forced to fight for his life. Ever since then, he has been looking for someone to at least talk to. But alas, he could never go into the city. If a human saw his sharp teeth they would either cower in fear or kill him on the spot. Kirishima may be lonely, but that doesn't mean he wants to die.

He finds himself starring at a deer. It looked so peaceful. All it was doing was munching on the vegetation, but it still was a calming site. Kirishima found himself smiling at the deer. He always found nature fascinating. How could he not? He was surrounded by it constantly. His eyes watched the deer while his mind ventured elsewhere.

He thought about lunch, but he realized that the only thing to eat was the deer he was looking at. He wasn't hungry enough to eat a whole deer and he didn't have anywhere to hide the corpse. He also would feel bad.

Kirishima was the type of vampire that needed blood to survive. There were other vampires who rarely needed blood at all to survive. Those eventually evolved into humans, but some of the originals still roam the earth. There were vampires who could only survive off of human blood which Kirishima felt terrible for. It hurt him enough to kill an animal, but he couldn't imagine what killing a human would be like. He was so lost in thought that he didn't see the person beside him.

"Can I sit here?" The noise startled Kirishima. He looked up to see blond hair with a black lightning bolt that ran through it. The man's face was soft, but it held some masculinity. He seemed like an average person. Kirishima nodded and went back to looking at the animals and listing to the river crash against its banks. He was enjoying the quiet when the man broke the silence.

"Do you talk?" It was an idiotic question. One that Kirishima defiantly didn't except. Instead of answering the man directly, he just nodded. He didn't want to scare this man with his fangs. If word got about a vampire in the wood, news would be everywhere. Kirishima couldn't afford to be found out now. Not after 200 years of living in this forest.

"Then why not just answer. Y'know, with your voice?" It seemed that this man was too curious to just leave Kirishima alone. Kirishima understood this feeling. Curiosity is what got Kirishima into this forest in the first place. He decided to answer the man. He just turned his head away from the blond and looked towards the ground.

"I just don't want to I guess." Kirishima was thinking of how to easily run away from this situation and hide without it being too bad.

"Oh, so you DO talk. I was just kidding with you man." The man punched Kirishima's arm lightly which caused the red-head to flinch. Do humans really punch each other as a greeting ritual of some sort? What a weird species.

The vampire just nodded as a response, not sure of what to do. The blond looked at Kirishima with a look of worry.

"You okay man?" Kirishima wasn't sure how to respond. Humans were weird.

"Y-yah, I'm fine." The man was not convinced. He invited Kirishima to a local bar in the village. In the human village. Oh no.

"N-no. I don't drink?" he said as more of a question than a statement. He had no idea how to talk with curious humans. Especially when curiosity turns into worry. Kirishima worried that this human would catch on soon. Even if that might sound ridiculous.
