this one is more of an inner angst more than anything else (no self harm and such; just a huge inner struggle)

He didn't show up to school that day either.

Bakugo didn't know why he was so anxious, but he was. Kirishima being absent for four days in a row got him worried.

Kirishima left the dorms abruptly around nine o'clock on Sunday and hasn't returned to the grounds since. The look in the eye he had when he left sent shivers down Bakugo's spine. Even reminiscing on it now still sent the blond into a state of shock. Why hadn't Kirishima told him what was going on?

It wasn't just Bakugo either, the rest of class 1-A was left in the dark. The only ones who didn't seem that way were the teachers, and, because of privacy reasons, they were unable to tell the students. Kirishima wasn't responding to anyone's phone either; it was almost like he disappeared.

Despite Bakugo trying to hide his feelings, he really did want to know why Kirishima was hiding, why he was being so secretive. Fortunately, Kirishima was there the next day in person. Unfortunately, the reason couldn't be worse.

~ Time Rewind ~

Kirishima turned from his math homework to his phone. He had already tried to ignore it several times, but it kept ringing and ringing. This time he decided to answer it. Despite his aggravation, he put on a smiley front, politely  answering the call.

"Hello?"

"Eijiro, sweetie?" It was his mom. She sounded desperate. "Is that you?"

"Uh, yes. Yes, it's me mom. What's going on?"

"It's terrible. Your father..he..h-" she choked on her words. She sounded like she had been crying. Kirishima took in the situation.

"O-okay, tell me on the way there. Where should I meet you?" She sniffled a bit before answering.

"Tok-Tokyo Hospital (creative name i know)." There was a long silence between them.

"The, the hospital. Why?"

"Eijiro," his mother was crying again, "Your father.......he's dying."

Kirishima rushed out his room.

~ Present Time ~

Kirishima trudged lazily into the classroom he hadn't seen in days. He didn't even try to hide the fact that he was tired, upset, and just all around gloomy. No one knew what had happened, he didn't tell anyone. And he didn't plan too. He was just lucky enough to have friends that wouldn't ask him anything. They didn't want to push the matter. Even if they did, Kirishima would probably break down before he could even say anything.

He plopped down on is chair, ignoring everyone else, including his friends. Everyone gave him space, not wanting to make things worse.

Aizawa entered the room soon after and began the lesson.
